[ this is literally a concept i've been rolling around for a while and i think it's gonna be cool if i can pull it off. ]

the concept originally started out being 'the original trio as the next manifestation of their parents', but now it's literally them taking their parents' places

at least within my writing, powers for the parents are:

persephone: flower manifestation and manipulation, along with identification

apollo: all sunlight related things, as well as music and healing, and occasionally prophetic things (i think the oracle would also be an immortal being just to take a little bit off of that)

aphrodite: charmspeak, instantly changing appearances and wardrobes, cupid-esque abilities. (and probably more let's be real here)

this will take place after lewis gets married, so at least in 2025. that puts him at 32, logan at 31, and harry at 30.

honestly i'm torn between this being a max exodus of the old gods and suddenly there's just a bunch of newbies, or it's just a select few. although, i would kinda like to bring in a couple old ocs, and if anyone has an old oc they'd like to see in this, let me know and tell me about them.

this also puts lewis' main conflict being 'wtf do i do now cuz alex is gonna get old and i won't'

what i'm thinking is a scene with lewis talking to his mom, then logan calling and telling lewis about the talk he just had with his dad and the one harry had with his mom.

they'd make plans to meet up and talk about it, and lewis would just have to keep this a secret from alex because?? dude has no clue what's going on, he'd think his husband had went off the deep end.

when the trio gets together, lewis would ask for advice, and then they'd get a message from their parents specifying a date and time and place that this transfer of powers would take place.

and it doesn't matter if they want to or not, if they aren't there, they'll be magically transported there.

the meeting is just a gathering of the gods and their chosen replacements, and once the powers transfer, the old gods fade from existence.

there'll be like a handbook of guidelines, and then the new gods are just on their own, with the chaos that ensues.

various other plot points could include: logan getting some girl pregnant and having to deal with the fallout with harry over that. lewis trying to find a way to make alex immortal just so he doesn't have to give him up eventually.

(in case you hadn't read rick riordan's trials of apollo series, it's mentioned in that, a god can have a child with someone of the same sex, although it's not really confirmed if it's a child of athena situation or what)
