As I leave the bakery, Griffin's number tucked into my purse, I cannot stop smiling. The quick encounter with this boy, has me more happy than I have been in a while. Something about his ocean blue eyes seems so captivating, like you could always trust him to be there for you. Of course I was careful about everything I said, as no matter who it is, they cannot be trusted to know who I am. Although, there is no harm in having fun with a guy. Even if it is just for a few weeks until we move again.

"I'm home!" I exclaim as I walk through the front door. Dakota greets me there, ready to turn me around. "Where are we going!" I exclaim as Dak basically pushes me out the door.

"Shopping," she says, "you need a dress for tonight." I can't stop myself from rolling my eyes.

"Really, that's the important thing you needed us to do!" I exclaim. Honestly with meeting Griffin, I'm not sure if I want to meet this James.

"Yes Mae, dress shopping is always important!" she answers, "now I saw a good place down the street earlier while I was doing my exploring."

Soon enough we are walking into some fancy boutique, a wad of cash stuck in Dakota's pocket.

"Okay, so I'm thinking we try on everything and each choose one we like the best," she says. Dakota being Dakota, she's looking to get something for her next date with her boyfriend.

"Sure Dak," I answer. Might as well have fun with this. I try on everything from tight, short dresses, to long ball gowns. Obviously we are just having fun with some of the dresses.

"Come out Mae!" Dakota exclaims, "I need your opinion on this one!" I sigh and go out in a dress, I like, though I'm not sure if it's my favourite. The top is silver jewels, with a low cut in the middle, and the bottom a skirt that flows to right above my knees, made of navy silk. It's definitely an option.

"Coming!" I exclaim. Throwing the curtain aside. My sister smiles at me.

"I like that one!" she says brushing my dress. "What do you think of mine?" I stare at the simple tight red dress that is shorter than I would feel comfortable wearing. Dakota seems to love it, and it looks good on her.

"Looks great on you Dak!" I exclaim, "it'll definitely impress Ryan!" I watch as Dakota's eyes trail from my face, to the door. I turn around, and my face starts burning red.

"Hey, so this is your family thing?" Griffin asks. I bite my lip, and I can see Dakota sending me questioning looks.

"Griffin, this is my sister Dakota," I say awkwardly. Dakota shakes his hand, "so what are you doing here?" Griffin looks at his feet,

"It's my mom's birthday next week, I ordered a dress from here for her," he answers looking to the store worker, who then quickly hands him a bagged dress.

"For Griffin right?" the clerk says checking something off. Griffin nods.

"Yeah, I really should get going," he says walking towards the door. Just as he's about to leave her turns back around,

"Oh and Mae," he pauses looking me up and down, "that dress looks great on you." He smiles, dimples appearing on his cheek and turns around walking away.

"Mae," Dakota starts. I smile sheepishly,

"Mhmm," I answer looking anywhere but at Dakota.

"Who was that, and how long have you known him!" she exclaims.
