Griffin

I thrust down my bag onto the nearest bench as I sigh. Tracking the Blakes down has been so much harder than I would've thought. Andrew and Beckett have been helping me, but no one has ever actually caught them. Even when we find their location, by the time we get to it, they are always gone. To me, it doesn't matter how many people have failed, because I will be the one to bring down the Blake organization, and all the smaller ones with them.
"Griff," Beckett starts, "you sure you don't want to stop for a break, grab some food, we've been at this since sunrise!"
"Beckett if there is anything you taught me, it's that you should never give up," I say, grabbing my bag and standing up again.
"You and I both know I meant in life, not in one singular day!" he exclaims.
"Beck, Griff, how's this," Andrew (who I often call the peacemaker) starts, "we will walk towards the main village down the street, and you can do all your hunting while we walk towards it Griffin, and then when we get there we sit down and we take a break!" I can tell that both of them are really tired, but a part of me feels like I can't fail. Not with this.
"Fine," I grunt, "fine." So we do as Andrew suggested. We head towards the main village, but I of course find nothing in that little space and time. So we end up sitting down for a late lunch at some new fast food place. The whole time I stare out the window in front of us hoping to catch something suspicious or different. Something that seems out of the ordinary.
"Griffin," Andrew says breaking me out of my glaring state.
"Yes," I respond, blinking until the spots in my eyes go back to normal.
"There were 3 more reported incidents by the Blakes last night," he says scrolling through an email from my father.
"Near here?" I ask excited at the possibility.
"One about 30 minutes from here, 1 in a neighborhood nearby and another one about an hour or 2 out," he answers. I sigh. That leaves quite a lot of land they could be living in not to mention if they are living further from that. My Colton uniform is blazing in this heat, but it let's everyone around me know exactly who I am. Sadly if the Blake's are here, they will know who I am too, and leave from this area. That's why I don't get why we wear this. It alerts them which I think is stupid. It isn't up to me for now though, so I wear the uniform that is meant to help us in these things as the equipt hidden weapons, and bullet/knife proof vest.
"Griffin, I know you're the leader on this but I suggest that we go back to the house, re-evaluate the situation, and head out after dinner tonight to try and catch them in action. They are much more careless at night, and our uniforms blend in better," Beckett says. I sigh and nod. He is right. The dark grey of our uniforms blend in with the night, and we have found that the Blakes do more during the night than the day. So we finish up our meal and go back to the house.
About 2 hours into sitting around my phone starts buzzing. I move around the covers trying to find it, before the call ends.
"Hey!" I say as I pick up Cassie's phone call.
"How's the Blake mission going," she asks. I sigh,
"To be honest, not that great Cas," I give in, "we have no leads yet, except more than a 100 mile radius!"
"It's okay," Cassie says "I'm sure you'll find one soon. After all you've been there less than a week. It takes us weeks to months to find the Blakes locations, and sometimes we never do!"
