Last night was... amazing, spectacular, surprising, amazing. There is no other way to describe it. Now I'm a bit worried about the hot skinny girls he's living with. He loves you Mae, he wants to marry you one day. I smile and look at the beautiful ring hanging from the gold chain on my neck. He loves me that much. And then, another thought strikes, and my blood turns cold. Until he finds out who you really are, and what you do. The thought scares me. The hate the Colton's have towards us is disgusting, and if I ever saw Griffin look at me the way I've seen Colton's look at Blakes. I don't think I could handle it. I would break. I push those thoughts away, he loves you, he wants to marry you one day.

"We are here ma'am," the cab driver says. I pay for the fee and knock on the door.

"Hey Mae!" Emma exclaims opening the door for me. "How was your birthday night with your friends?" she asks.

"It was great," I say, "I have a mission in 30 minutes, so I'm just going to get ready."

"Sounds great!" Emma exclaims, "oh by the way, I know you have a really easy mission tonight, and if you're up for it, can you take Sunny along, we are trying to teach her how to do it." I think about it, and realise that she has to learn the business sometimes, even if it is a terrible thing.

"Sure thing," I say, "it's at about 7, so we'll leave here at 6:45." She nods and leaves me to get ready for my current mission.

The mission goes by quickly and easily, but I still can't get what Griffin would think out of my mind. He loves you, he wants to marry you one day. I keep telling myself this, but the creeping thought of him finding out is always lingering. A facetime call comes in from Dak right when I get back from the mission.

"Heyyyyyy," she teases. She called me last night and I didn't pick up so I think she has a suspicion. "How was the birthday bash with Griffin?" I smile,

"It was amazing," I say, readjusting the camera waiting for her to notice the necklace.

"And you're gonna talk about the big ball of money hanging off your chest?"

"Says the multi millionaire," I tease, though I guess we both are. "And Griffin gave it to me. As a promise to always love me." I say my eyes filling with joy.

"A promise ring!" Dak exclaims, "OH MY GOD!" I hush her,

"Be quiet, mum and dad will hear you!" I say.

"No one's home, don't worry! But oh my god! My baby sis got a promise ring!" Dakota exclaims over and over again.

"Yeah," I say sighing. Dak can tell something is wrong but doesn't push it.

"So how does it feel having 14 million dollars in your bank account?" she asks. I shrug,

"Technically it takes a couple days to transfer so I don't have it yet," I say. "But the family I'm with wants me to take their 8 year old on my mission tonight." Dak looks at me,

"You up for teaching someone the family business?" she says, "you've never done it before." I shrug,

"I'll tell her what to do, and what I'm doing," I answer, "it's an easy in and out anyways worse case I carry her out." We continue talking about the family and my birthday and Griffin and everything in life, until Dak has to go for a mission.

I spend the next few hours talking to Griffin, and watching Netflix until it's 6:30 and I get dressed in the hoodie and sweatpants for tonight. I hide the blade and syringe and go downstairs where Emma has prepared Sunny for tonight. She's dressed similarly to me, but doesn't have blades or syringes or anything.
