Tonight Griffin is throwing some big New Years Eve party at our place, meaning technically I am the host too. Tomorrow at 10am, we have the Colton private jet coming to take the 10 of us over to Madison. We formulated the plan and will start on the 2nd. But for now... some elaborate New Years Eve party with the group and a few of their friends and Mack's parents' friends. Everyone will be here in 15 minutes so I quickly dry my hair, curling it, then putting on the rose gold, sparkly dress that's a bit too short. I bought it along with matching heels on a shopping trip with Ivy and Mack yesterday and I love it. I slip on Griffin's necklace and bracelet and quickly do mascara and lip gloss.

"Mae you ready?" Griffin calls. I come to the door, where we wait for people to show up. It's not really a dinner and more like little horderves all night from some catering company. "You look beautiful," he says kissing me. I smile and look around the beautifully decorated apartment with gold, silver and rose gold tassels and balloons everywhere and party hats piled at the door. Griffin gives me a rose gold party hat and helps me put it on. Mack, her mom, and step-dad arrive first and are immediately served these mini grilled cheeses that are really good. I snuck one earlier. Slowly everyone arrives and more little foods are given out. Everyone is there by 8:30 and Griffin tells me to come up to make a speech with him. I hope he doesn't expect me to talk cause I have nothing prepared.

"Yeah Griffin!" a slightly tipsy Hayden yells from the side of the room as we stand up on a stool near the TV. All this was installed earlier and will be a pain to take down.

"Hi everyone!" Griffin shouts to all 30 people in our medium sized apartment. "Thank you so much for joining us to celebrate the new year of 2181!" Everyone cheers. "On behalf of Mae and I, please have as much fun as you want, but please prevent any kind of property damage, or you will be asked to leave. Thank you! Have a great night!" With that we wave to everyone and hop off the stage.

The next few hours I snack and talk to everyone there, some of which I don't think I've ever met. When midnight is right around the corner I help Griffin hand out the little noise making blower things and the waiters hand out champagne. I get a glass and go up to the podium with Griffin as we turn on the New York ball drop on the TV behind us.

"Okay everyone!" Griffin shouts, "There are 20 seconds until New Years! Get ready!" Everyone waits the 10 seconds then starts shouting. Griffin wraps his hand around my waist and I remember you're supposed to kiss someone at midnight.

"10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1!" Everyone counts down. "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" I kiss Griffin and drink my champagne and we all celebrate and I get a little tipsy, until everyone starts to leave at 2am. The last person doesn't leave until 4am, and I'm so tired I don't even get undressed further then my bra before passing out. The next morning I sleep right until our alarm. I change into leggings and a sweatshirt since it's cold in Madison and grab the suitcase I packed yesterday. I look one last time back at the apartment I'd like to say I call home wondering when I'll see it again. Who knows how long this mission will take. The good thing is, this apartment will be here for us when we get back.

On the plane, which by the way is so fancy, they serve us pancakes and coffee which I wolf down. I sit in a pod type thing with Griffin, Mack and Lucas.

"Are you guys excited?" Griffin asks them. They nod, but we are all pretty tired or hung over from last night, so everyone is pretty quiet. Other than Griffin who barely drank and is used to this type of living. Once upon a time I was too, but I've gotten too comfortable with normal.

"I was thinking tonight we take it easy and don't bother with the planning, and then tomorrow go over the plan again and start stakeouts at night," I tell them, but everyone hears it, and gives a confirmation that it would be best that way.
