Today is my date with Griffin and I couldn't be more happy to see him again. While it's only been a week since we last saw each other, it's felt like an eternity. As I straighten out the deep red, off the shoulder dress I smile at myself in the mirror. The dress fits well, longer in the back. shorter in the front. I think Griffin will love it almost as much as he liked my last dress, but that's only because the last one was... tighter.

"You'll cover for me?" I ask Dak for the millionth time. She rolls her eyes.

"Yes Mae," she answers, "I have your back as always." I smile at her, "in exchange for details when you get home." She finishes. I smile,

"Gossip sesh at 11:30?" I say, realizing right away how much I sound like Dak. She nods and smiles,

"My little sis is all grown up," she says in a baby voice, pinching my cheeks, I swat her away as she laughs, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Go have fun! See you at 11:30." I'm out of the room before she can even finish, slipping my phone into the small black handbag I'm bringing along. Griffin gave me the name of a restaurant, and the address. He said since he only had 3 days to plan it and he doesn't know the city tonight will just be dinner. Which is perfectly fine with me. I don't need the over the top stuff for every date. Besides, having it less often will make it even more special. As I park the car on a side street a few blocks away, I start walking towards the restaurant, regretting the black heels.

When I finally reach the restaurant, Griffin is waiting at the door with roses that match the colour of my dress coincidentally.

"You look beautiful as always," he tells me, kissing me gently, "shall we go in?" I nod and we go in as he asks for our reservation. The place is tiny and romantic. It's italian food, and you can tell it's one of those homemade restaurants.

"Would you like to start with some wine?" the waiter asks.

"No thanks," I answer, "I'm driving home." Griffin nods,

"Same here," he says, "but I'll have a soda please." He looks to me as if asking if I want one. I do a slight motion of my head, which Griffin takes as a yes, "One for each of us." he says. The waiter nods heading back to the kitchen.

"How was your week?" I ask Griffin, despite the fact that we've been talking every night.

"It was good," he starts, "I love living near a beach! It's so nice being able to just go for a swim whenever you want."

"I love it too!" I exclaim, "me and my sister's have been going almost every day! The feeling of the sun blazing on your skin, and waves splashing on your ankles! Definitely something I missed living in Penn and New Jersey!" I say making sure to say New Jersey instead of New York, even though I came really close to saying it.

"Is that you telling me that's where I next date should be?" he says mysteriously.

"That would be quite fun," I say as my hand that was lazily fidgeting at the side of table interlocks with his.

"Okay then," he says, "I guess we know where we are going for next time." He says smiling. I bite my lip, and the waiter comes right then with the sodas.

"Are you ready to order?" he asks. I look to Griffin and laugh.

"We haven't had a chance to look over the menu yet, so maybe a few more minutes," he says as politely as possible. We then both open up the menu.

"Ooo!" I exclaim, "the cheesy garlic bread sounds good. Oooo and the bolognese! And the margarita pizza!"

"Slow down," Griffin says laughing, "we can get the garlic bread to start, then how about we split the bolognese and margarita pizza?" he offers. I nod,
