After the death of Ellen and Jo, Bobby's house had experienced nothing but dead silence. Everyone was too distraught to chat. Sam and Dean had even picked up a case to get themselves back in the groove of hunting and to escape their emotions.

Dean pulled the Impala up in front of Bobby's house. He shared a confused look with Sam at the sight of Christmas lights glowing from the inside. A faint sound of arguing grew louder as the brother's got closer to the house.

"This is ridiculous!" Maia's voice echoed through the halls, shocking Sam and Dean as they passed through the front doorway.

"Would you stop your complaining?" Bobby's grumpy voice retorted.

"What's going on?" Sam asked the bickering duo, walking into Bobby's study.

"He wants to celebrate Christmas." Maia crossed her arms, glaring at Bobby.

"She's never done Christmas before," Bobby explained, ignoring Maia's burning gaze.

"I'm pagan!" Maia shouted.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Dean grabbed everyone's attention. "Maia, you've never celebrated Christmas?"

Maia groaned. "No. The last time my family did Christmas was long before I was born and it did not go well." She cringed at the thought of that story.

"Well, then I guess this year will be your first one." Dean decided, liking Bobby's idea.

"Oh for the love of--"

"It'll be fun." Sam interrupted Maia.

"Yeah." Dean agreed, smiling.

Maia only rolled her eyes and stormed out of the room.

"Or not." Dean sighed.

"Don't worry, she'll come around," Bobby reassured.

"Yeah, just give her some time," Sam added.

Dean only nodded, his thoughts racing too fast to say anything.

Maia paced her room anxiously. Sam and Dean were out getting food for Christmas dinner and Bobby had decided that it would be a great time to ask Maia about what she was getting her father and uncle. It was now only four days until Christmas and she had to find presents for people she hardly knew.

The sound of her ringing phone snapped Maia out of her thoughts. "Hello?" She answered.

"Happy Solstice!" A mass of voices shouted in unison.

"Sol-- Oh my gods I forgot." Maia facepalmed.

"Oh, that's okay sweetheart. With everything you have going on, no one is expecting you to do our traditions." Maia's grandfather, Damien, consoled.

"Yeah, not so much." Maia sighed. "I'm being forced to celebrate Christmas and apparently I also have to get presents."

"Christmas?" Maia's grandmother, Vivienne, asked in distaste.

"Yup. I mean, what am I supposed to get three grown men that I barely know?" Maia plopped down on her bed in defeat.

"Well, do what we do. Get them something that will be of use to them." Vivienne suggested.
