"Boys!" Bobby shouted, wheeling back into his study.

Sam, Dean, and even Maia rushed into the study where Cas dropped the muddied man on the cot. Sam and Dean shared knowing and shocked looks while Maia just tilted her head in confusion.

"Who is it?" Bobby asked, expecting Cas to answer.

"That's our brother," Sam informed.

"Wait a minute. Your brother? Adam?" Bobby questioned, looking between his surrogate sons in shock at the same time Maia gawked.

"There's another one?" She questioned in disbelief.

"Cas what the hell?" Dean ignored Bobby and Maia's questions.

Cas placed two bloodied angel blades on Bobby's desk. "Angels."

"Angels? Why?" Sam asked.

Cas shook his head. "I know one thing for sure." He walked over to Adam, placing a hand on his ribs. "We need to hide him now."

Adam's eyes flung open at the sudden pain erupting in his abdomen. He groaned, squirming under Castiel's glowing hand. He shot up, panting heavily as he scanned the room.

"Where am I?" He questioned.

"It's okay," Sam assured. "Just relax. You're safe."

"Who the hell are you?" Adam's breathing picked up as he started to panic again.

"You're gonna find this a little--" Dean paused, rolling his eyes at his own words, "a lot crazy, but we're actually your brothers."

"It's the truth." Sam jumped in, believing that Adam would refuse to listen. "John Winchester was our father, too. See, I'm Sam--"

"Yeah, and I'm sure that's Dean." Adam cut his half-brother off. "I know who you are."

"How?" Sam furrowed his eyebrows, sharing confused glances with the others.

"They warned me about you. Especially her." Adam nodded toward Maia.

"Who did?" Dean questioned, growing protective at the mention of his daughter.

"The angels," Adam answered. "Now, where the hell is Zachariah?"

"That's it I'm out," Maia stated, stomping up the stairs. All she had wanted for today was to be with Sam, Dean, Bobby and maybe even Cas. She just wanted one last good memory before she had to leave but now she saw that it wasn't going to happen, she wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

It took Maia a long time to pack. She needed to fit as much of her belongings as she could in only a suitcase and a duffle bag. Not to mention she was using her powers to eavesdrop onto the conversation downstairs. It was mostly to give her warning if anyone tried to go talk to her but also so that she could stay in the loop. Nevertheless, it divided her attention and made packing take longer than she had expected.

By the time she had her bags stuffed to the brim, the sun had started to set. Sam had fortunately convinced Adam to stay so less focus would be placed on Maia.

Maia took a deep breath, listening in to the men downstairs to double-check that they weren't suspicious of her. She sighed in relief when all she heard was Sam and Bobby discussing what they should do with Dean.

Maia opened up the window in her room, dropping her suitcase and then her duffle bag out of it before jumping herself. She tucked her knees in, rolling to the side as soon as her feet connected with the ground.

The bags cushioned the fall so Maia was only a little sore when she stood up. She dusted herself off before grabbing her bags and starting her trek to the nearest bus station.

The walk took nearly an hour. Bobby lived more on the outskirts of Sioux Falls and the bus station was located more in the center. Even at Maia's fast pace, the walk felt like an eternity.

To make matters worse, right before Maia entered the dirty public building, a hand touched her shoulder. Maia flinched and when she spun around she was met with Castiel- back in Bobby's house.

"Are you kidding me?" Maia shouted.

"No," Cas answered, his usually monotone voice taking on annoyed tone. "You need to stay here."

"And why is that?" Maia crossed her arms. "What reason could you possibly have that's strong enough to get me to stay here?"

"Because I said so." Bobby jumped in when Cas stood still with no answer.

"That's not a good reason." Maia shook her head, becoming more pissed by the second.

"Well, it's gonna have to be for now." Bobby countered.

Maia rolled her eyes, starting to go back up the stairs to her room when Bobby spoke up again.

"You're not allowed upstairs. You need to stay down here where I can see you."

"Why?"

"So you can't run off again."

Maia huffed, storming over to a discarded chair in the study and plopping down. "Happy now?"

"Far from it. But thank you." Bobby replied as he went back to research.

It was just past sundown and Maia was just about fed up with sitting around. She got up, walking into the kitchen for water when she caught a piece of Sam and Adam's conversation.

"Still, trust me, the one thing worse than seeing Dad once a year was seeing him all year," Sam stated with a bitter tone.

"Do you know how full of crap you are?" Adam questioned.

"What?"

"Really. You see, it was me, and it was my mom, that's it. She worked the graveyard shift at the hospital. I cooked my own dinners. I put myself to bed. So, you can say whatever you want about our dad, but the truth is, I would have taken anything."

"Gods, you are such a whiny baby!" Maia rolled her eyes as she took a sip from her glass of water.

"Excuse me?" Adam turned to face her.

"You heard me." Maia snapped. "You really think that you had a bad life just because your mom was single and had a job? And do you really think that you were worse off because you were lied to about the existence of supernatural creatures? Well, let me throw some reality at you because I have lost friends and family from hunting and you know what at least you were an only child. Some people had to practically raise their younger siblings 'cause one parent was busy and the other was a no-show. And at least your dad gave a damn about you and your birthday because, news flash, that not everyone can say the same thing. So for the love of the gods, shut the hell up!" Maia finished her rant, going back to her seat and starting a sketch so that she could distract herself from the looks she was getting.

"What's her problem?" Adam asked, not liking the way she put him in his place.

"Long story short, she's thirteen today and Dean has kinda been absent until this morning," Sam answered, pulling his gaze away from his niece.

"She's Dean's daughter?" Adam's eyes widened slightly. He didn't expect either of his half-bothers to have any kind of family.

"Yeah, they're a lot alike." Sam chuckled slightly.

A/N: So this book obviously didn't get finished by April 1st (which wasn't an April fools joke btw) but I hope to get this finished before Easter. I've kinda hyped myself up a lot for the next book that I'm really losing interest in this one and my school just started doing class online so there's also that.

Thanks for reading and please vote and comment!
