The engine of the Impala revved and the tires screeched as Dean drove it down the empty road.

"Drive faster, Dean," Sam ordered.

"I can't!" Dean denied. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm amazing." Sam sassed. He had a gash on his arm and it hurt like hell.

"You ever seen that many?" Dean glanced in his rearview mirror.

"No. No way. Not in one place." Sam answered.

"Me either." Maia agreed.

"What the hell?" Dean asked rhetorically. He turned left before slamming on the breaks to avoid hitting a flamming eighteen-wheeler that lay in the middle of the road.

"Are you kidding me?" Maia muttered.

Dean put the car in reverse, turning it around when two demons attacked the car. One was pulling Dean out while the other was choking Sam.

Before Maia could do anything, a truck came up behind them, spraying holy water on the demons. The demons screamed and hollered in pain as one of the men on the truck said something in another language through a megaphone.

One by one, the demons were exorcised, leaving their meat suits and returning to hell.

"Well, that's something you don't see every day," Dean commented.

The three Winchesters stepped out of the car.

"You three all right?" One of the men with the truck asked.

"Peachy," Maia answered as she looked at the people laying on the ground.

"Be careful. It's... dangerous around here." The man warned, starting to walk away.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait, wait." Dean ran around the impala to catch up to the guy.

"No need to thank us." He said, still walking.

"No, hold up a sec! Who are you?" Dean shouted.

"We're the Sacrament Lutheran Militia." The man answered.

"I'm sorry-- the what?" Dean furrowed his eyebrows.

"I hate to tell you this, but those were demons, and this is the Apocalypse. So... buckle up."

Dean led a few of the guys over to his car, opening the secret compartment in the trunk to show their hunting equipment.

"Looks like we're in the same line of business," Sam said.

"Yeah, and among colleagues." Dean gestured toward the first man's gun. "That's a police-issue shotgun. That truck is uh... inspired. Where did you guys pick up all this crap?"

"You know, you... pick things up along the way." A different man answered.

"Guys, come on. This whole corner of the state is nuts with demon omens. We just want to help. That's all." Dean insisted.

"We're on the same team here," Sam added. "Just talk to us."

"Follow us." The first man said.

Sam, Dean, and Maia got back into the impala, following the strangers into the nearest town and to a small, white church.

The church was surrounded by barbed wire and men with guns acting as guards. Sam, Dean, and Maia followed the strangers into the church.

"Who would have thought the Apocalypse could be so romantic?" A man at the front of the packed church joked.

Sam eyed the men sitting at the end of the pews. Each of them held a rifle, ready to attack at any moment.

"Marriage, family-- it's a blessing. Especially in times like this. So hold on to that." The man continued.
