Virgil was sitting up on the bed, cuddling the pillow. "He woke up, and kinda realized we weren't Dark Realm citizens..." Patton explained awkwardly. Roman nodded, biting his lip.
He walked up to the boy, placing a hand on his back. "Okay, Anx, breath... It's all okay..."
"Deceit is gonna be so pissed..."
"No, it's fine, it's all fine... You got us - me, Patton and Logan. And we aren't gonna let anything bad happen to you." Roman rubbed his back in small circular motions, smiling slightly. "Just keep breathing and breathing and breathing..."
Virgil nodded slowly. He mumbled quietly. "You're still calling me Anx..."
"If that's what you're comfortable with, that's what I'll call you."
"You're supposed to be the enemy..."
"No, we aren't. Your brother and my dad are enemies - not us."
Virgil cracked a nervous smile. "Yeah... Yeah, Dee and your dad are enemies..."
Logans' phone beeped loudly, and he pulled it out. Roman looked at the notification. "Oh, of course, you have the cities' newspaper on a notification."
Logan ignored him. He just looked up at Patton, horrified.
"Wh-What is it, Lolo?" Patton asked nervously, staring across the bed to his friend.
"Y-Your bakery... The King has closed it!" Patton paled and Roman gasped. Virgil looked guilty. "This morning, at 10:34 am, Royal Guards stormed the charity based bakery, 'Cooking Cookies', on order of our King Phillip. The bakery, formerly belonging to Mr Patton Hart, has been closed. Citizens have been warned to report any unusual teenager to the Royal Guards."
Patton began to tremble. He made sudden, quiet stuttering noises before he burst into tears. Logan scrambled quickly over the bed, wrapping Patton in a tight hug. Roman jumped off his bed. "Oh, Pat! It's fine, it's okay!"
Virgil moved to grab Patton when a notification appeared on Logans' phone. An email. He clicked it open and whispered as he read:
"To Logan Berry, advisor of Prince Roman,
You have been accused of meddling in a criminal and dangerous act, aiding Prince Roman in caring for the enemy. As you know, being a royal advisor means having no record of crime - the act you have committed is treasonous.
Because of this traitorous behaviour, we, The High Advisory Council, have removed your permit and data from our logs. You are fired from your position.
We understand you are close to the Prince, so we have given you another position in the castle. You will be Prince Roman's' stable boy. You are now permanently stripped of title, wealth and pegasus. If seen inside the castle without a legitimate excuse or escort, you will be jailed for suspicious behaviour.
Regards,
Faretii Moquanaw,
Head of The High Advisory Council"
Virgil looked up to see Logan watching him. The man's voice cracked. "I'm fired?" The enemy prince nodded apologetically.
"It's all going wrong, isn't it?" Roman managed to say before he burst into tears with Patton.

Heh heh... I involved a reference... Starting from now, I will try to involve a reference to musicals, music or Thomas Sanders. Or just YouTube in general. Whoever notices and points out the reference gets tagged in the next chapter!
