"Virgil? Virge? You awake?"

"I am now, what do you want now, Princey?" The darkly dressed boy tossed over in his collection of hay. He squinted up at his enemy.

"Princey?" Roman scoffed, raising an eyebrow.

Virgil shrugged, sitting up drowsily. "It's what I called you before I knew your name. Wassup?"

Romans'  face changed slightly, and he looked away. "Do you think we're doing the right thing? I mean, saving the Realms and all that sounds great but is this the right way to do it?"

Virgil raised an eyebrow which made Roman panic. "I-I mean, what if we had just handed you over? Then we'd be at home right now- all four of us! And I can't even imagine-! No, I don't dare imagine my fathers' reaction to me vanishing. A-And leaving Angelica, Eliza and Peggy all alone like that!"

"Princey- I mean, Roman-"

"You can call me Princey."

"Ok, Princey. I think you're overreacting here. Doing this means that we can actually talk this over with the Kings. We can try to get them to see eye to eye. Y'know, make them list their problems and possibly make a truce that doesn't fail within a month."

Roman bit his lip, thinking over what Virgil had just said. He then smiled and wrapped his enemy in a tight hug. "Thanks, Vee..."

"TOO- TIGHT!"

Roman let go with a guilty smile. "Sorry, Virge. Just... anxious."

Virgil smirked at him. "It's fine. We're all anxious, but-" He raised his head to the sky, his eyes lighting up by the shine of the stars. "We could be heroes, me and you."

Roman glanced at his friend, who continued speaking in the soft, dreaming voice.

"The first royalty from the Dark and Light Realm to work together."

"We could be heroes..." Roman echoed, turning his head to look up at the navy-black sky, smiling at the white, shining flecks.
