Logan couldn't remember the last time he'd screamed properly. An actual, pure, horrified scream. A scream that expressed every ounce of pain in every second. A scream that showed how much mortification a man could feel could be doubled in mere seconds. That was the scream Logan screamed when he saw his daughter with only one arm.

He ran to her, snatching her from Remy as tears flooded, uninvited, down his cheeks. This made Amai begin to cry, wailing sadly. Patton rushed to his husband and daughter, shrieking upon seeing Amai. Fletcher started to cry too, howling as he tried to hug his dad.

Logan tried to hug Amai but released how much his heart broke when she could only return the hug with half of one. Patton spun to Fletcher, tightening his grip on his son as if he were scared the young boy would only have one arm if he looked away.

The ex-adviser's' voice slowly spluttered out to a hoarse cry. He squeezed his daughter tightly, finally lifting his face from her shoulder, hating the constant hiccups that would make him jerk and mess up his breathing. Logan let go off his daughter almost reluctantly and was on his feet in an instant, slamming his fist into Remy's' face.

The other man cursed, stumbling back, and Logan continued to punch and kick the man, feeling the bitter rage of hopelessness.

"My daughter! My daughter, you bastard!" Logan yelled, eyes brimming and spilling with hot tears. Roman and Deceit managed to grab Logan by his arms, pulling him back.

"He didn't do this, Logan! He didn't do this!" Roman protested, hauling the shouting man away from the one on the ground.

Deceit snapped his fingers, Logan freezing in place, coated in a yellow glow. The ex-adviser still breathed heavily with fury, fists balled. "Calm yourself, Logan! I can try to fix Amai, you just need to calm down!"

Patton took Logan's' wrist which made the other's' breath hitch. "Logan, one of this is going to turn back time... Just... stop yelling..."

The yellow glow faded and Logan let Patton tackle him.

"I think you cracked a tooth..." Mumbled Remy, finger tuck ungracefully in his mouth as he prodded something. He winced, pulling out his hand to see a blood coated tooth. "Okay, you definitely did more than just crack a tooth..."

"Emile," Whispered Virgil, staring blankly at Amai who still wailed.

"...Yes, kiddo?"

"I-Is this what you meant about the children? You removed their arms?!"

Emile sagged, pulling himself away from the window. "Kiddo, please, I swear, I can explain-!"

Remus scoffed. "Oh-ho! You better explain! Or I will fill your lungs with boiling tar! Brutally!"

"Kiddo, please, listen to me-"

Virgil shook his head. "I trusted you, Emile... I can't believe you did this to the children of my best friends!"

"How many more have you done this to?!" Roman bellowed, voice echoing around the throne room. "How many?!"

Thomas swallowed nervously. "...She's one of seventy-nine."

Fletcher clutched his sister and his fathers. He gave Remy, who still sat on the ground, a look of pain that no child that young should be able to give.

And Amai kept wailing.
