Logan walked next to Roman while Patton and Virgil rode ahead, Virgil on Storm and Patton on Roman's' pegasus.
Roman glanced at Logan. "Everything Gucci, Logan?"
Logan sighed. "You know I don't understand your 'slang', Sire."
"Ooh, something's definitely wrong - you never call me Sire!"
"Nothing is wrong, Roman. I'm just in a bad mood."
"Is it because of what Patton said?"
Logan flinched, adjusting his glasses.
Roman made a sympathetic face. "Logan, try to chill. Patton didn't mean it, I'm sure of it."
"How can you be sure?" Logan mumbled.
"Because the first thing Patton said to me when we all met and you had left the room was 'he's cute'." Said Roman, stopping Logan from walking as he grabbed his arm. "Pat does like you, Lo. He just doesn't believe you like him back."
"Really?"
"Really. If you asked him to go out with you he'd say yes without hesitation. Trust me on this buddy." Roman looked into Logan's' face sincerely. Logan watched for any sign of a joke, but not even a single glisten in Roman's' eyes emerged.
He sighed. "I guess I must believe you. Maybe if Patton and I are alone, I'll ask him. And don't yell to Virgil that you want an air-race; I'll kill you."
With the serious part out the way and Logan (hopefully) joking, Roman grinned. "I'm still gonna try to get the two of you alone together. You've been pining after that ball of sunshine for years and I'm not throwing away my shot at getting you together!"
.:*:.
"Seriously, Pops," Virgil said as he petted Storm's' ear fondly, "You need to ask Logan out."
Patton looked down at the silvery mane of Roman's' pegasus, bottom lip quivering. "But what if he says no? Then I'll be stuck with him for another twenty-seven days or something like that!"
"Patton." The Prince stopped petting Storm and turned his full attention onto Patton. "Either you ask him out or I will for you. With princey."
"But-"
"If you ask him out, I'll do anything you say for an hour."
"Would you... be positive?" Patton inquired cheekily.
Virgil hesitated. "Yes?"
"Fine then, I'll do it. Only if we're alone, though - I don't want you and Roman recording it!"
"Welp, there goes my evil plans!" Virgil joked before hands grabbed his waist from behind and pulled him of Storm.
Patton was about to scream until he saw what had happened. "Erm, what?"
Roman hoisted a hissing Virgil high into the air, spinning him around. "I can show you the world!~"
"And I can show you some vomit if you don't put me down!" Spat Virgil, trying to pry himself from Roman's' grip. He was obviously trying hard not to laugh as Roman kept dancing around. "I'm serious, Princey!" Virgil yelled, sounding anything but serious.
Patton laughed, clapping, as Logan appeared behind him, watching the princes' antics. Roman let go of Virgil for a split second, who yelped. Virgil began to fall before Roman caught him bridal-style and dipped him.
There was silence. And then Logan started laughing. It was a small giggle at first, then it blossomed into pure amusement. To Patton, it was the most adorably contagious laugh he'd ever dreamed of, because soon he was laughing too.
Roman raised a cocky eyebrow at the stunned enemy, before letting Virgil stand.
Once Virgil was standing, he blinked and shook his head. He punched Roman's' arm. "Jerk..." He muttered.
Roman just stuck his tongue out at him. "Oh, let it go, Charlie Frown! You can't deny you're so into me!" Roman struck an overdramatized pose, cocking his leg. Virgil tripped his supporting leg, sending the other Prince onto the floor quickly.
"Keep dreaming, princey!"
