Warning: Swearing
Roman sat up, stirring Virgil, who grumbled in his sleep. "Dad?" He whimpered, tears forming in his eyes.
Philip left the doorway, walking slowly towards Roman, shaking his head in his disbelief. "I can't believe it."
"Don't look down!" Whispered Remus helpfully.
Philip looked down and yelled something unintelligible as he jumped backwards. "Remus!" He snapped crossly, glaring icily at the cackling Duke.
"Remus?!" Virgil shot up from his sleep, eyes wide. "When did you get here?!"
"VIRGEYYYYY!" Shrieked Remus, darting across the room and appearing at Virgil's' side clinging to his arm. "You motherfucker! What got into your head to get you to run off like that?!"
Virgil grinned teasingly, slapping Remus's' hand off his arm. "You told me to run, remember, jackass?"
Deceit appeared by Virgil's' side, pushing Roman off the throne as he enveloped his brother in a tight hug.
"H-Hey, Dee! Get off me, you bloody snake!" Virgil protested before Remus tackled him from the other side. "Get the hell off me, you fuckers!" He yelped.
Roman scrambled to his feet, still staring at his father. "Dad, I-I'm sorry I ran off! I thought we could try to sort out the war by getting you to work stuff out with Deceit if the two of you had a reason to get here."
"Roman," Philip cut him off, cupping Roman's cheek as he paced across to his son, "It's my fault you had to do this... I should've listened. And don't forget, your coronation is on next week."
"You're putting it back on?!" Roman squealed, eyes lighting up.
Philip smiled. "After you've found yourself a- boyfriend."
Roman's' jaw dropped and for a moment he was lost for words. Then he regained himself and hugged his father so tight he could've killed him. "Thank you, thank you, thank you- LOGAN?!"
"Logan?!" Patton sat up in a flash from his sleep, and Virgil pushed Remus and Deciet off him in an instant.
"Uh, salutations?" The advisor coughed awkwardly, with everyone's' attention turned to him.
Patton rushed to his side, tackling him in a hug that knocked them both to the ground. "WE THOUGHT YOU DIED!" He shrieked into his boyfriend's chest.
"Uhm, I did. King Deceit brought me back to life."
"Dee, you never told me you could do that!" Virgil snapped his head to his brother, who shrugged.
"It was my business, not yours." Deceit answered, smiling at Virgil's' playful scowl.
Roman left his father and dashed to his advisor, pulling Patton off him. "A knight without an arm came in and said you were dead!"
Logan flinched. "That's the one who killed me," He answered, as Virgil untangled himself from Deceit and Remus, running over with a wide grin.
"I'm glad you're not dead, nerd," Virgil promised, smirking teasingly. Logan rolled his eyes, a smile playing on his lips. Roman shifted slightly away from Virgil, looking away. Virgil watched sadly but didn't protest.
Philip backed up to Deceit and Remus. "So..." He whispered quietly. "What's the first step to being a not-a-homophobe?"
Remus thought for a moment. "Organise a same-sex threesome."
"What?!"
"Don't listen to him, Philip." Groaned Deceit, with an apologetic smirk.
