Deceit hissed at the mirror, glaring at his reflection. "I hate it."

"Bro, you look great." Virgil tried to reassure him, sitting behind him on the floor.

The Dark Realm King was wearing a pale yellow shirt with a tight black jacket that buttoned sharply by his waist. Long black slacks with golden trimmings fitted firmly around his legs and a sparkling bow was attached to his neck. His classic bowler hat was tipped to a rakish angle, covering the human side of his face as much as it could. Golden laces with sparkling yellow strips running through the thread laced up his posh ballroom shoes.

Meanwhile, Virgil was wearing the most casual suit he could get away with. It was also very tight, with his trade-mark purple patches along the arm and breast pocket. The shirt beneath it was also black and he wore a purple bow tie, similar to Dee's'. The Heathers had attempted to gel his hair back but Virgil had pulled it in front of his face again. The eyeshadow below his eyes had been fixed and he had added eyeliner.

"Are you sure?" Deceit asked hesitantly as he twisted around in the mirror. "It's just not how I imagined..."

Virgil rolled his eyes. "Nothing about this day will be exactly as you imagined. For starters, you're having it outdoors in the capital city of our Realm's' oldest enemy."

"Ex-oldest enemy now, Virge." Corrected Dee, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips. "Besides, everything's been sorted out. Except..."

Virgil frowned. "Except?" He prompted.

"You and Roman travelled together for a month and it's obvious you weren't always this, well, weird with each other. Do I need to kill him? I'll kill him."

"You don't need to kill him! He just- He kissed me a couple of days ago and I wasn't expecting it..."

Deceit glanced at his brother in the mirror sympathetically. "Did you freak out?"

"Yeah... I panicked and sort of said some stuff to him and I think he's gotten that stuck in his head or something!" Virgil whined sadly. "I think that he thinks I don't like him back!"

"Do you like him back?"

"Well, yeah! I guess... He's really cute and funny... Roman just gets me now, kinda... Oh, I don't know!" The young Prince buried his face in his hands with a loud groan. "Why can't love just be simple or something?!"

Deceit sighed. "I don't know. Love isn't simple at all- that's why I'm marrying Remus." Virgil snorted. Deceit continued speaking as he fiddled with his bow tie. "I think you need to get him to talk to you. Tell him what you told me. Kiss him until he agrees."

"Dee!"

"I'm being serious."

Virgil groaned. "I know and that's why I hate you..."
