Deceit glared at the man. "So you just forgot?"

"Yes?"

"You disgust me." Deceit sneered with a small smirk.

Remus grinned. "That's a shame. You're married to me now!"

Deceit rolled his eyes. "And that little fact has killed me each day for five years. Did you seriously forget to tell the chef that you wanted poached eggs instead of fried?"

"Mhm!" Remus nodded brightly. "Sure as hell, I did!"

"Sometimes I swear your stupidity is in your DNA, and it takes my breath away," Deceit sighed with a smile.

Remus nodded with mock intelligence. "My stupidity knows no bounds."

Deceit smirked. "Five years of marriage and I still haven't divorced you, you octopus..."

"Three things to say: One, you love me too much to get a divorce; Two, you're just as stupid as me so you haven't gotten a divorce yet; Three, calling me an octopus? That's kinky."

Roman felt the Carriage pick up more and more speed. It wasn't as fast as Storm, he mused. He had found himself missing Virgil - last time he'd seen him was four years ago. That was when the curse had begun to rise.

His heart wrenched. Virgil had understood when he told him and they still kept in contact through letters but he wished he could see him - he wanted to see Virgil. Roman felt Patton's' hand on his shoulder and the two exchanged a smile.

Patton thought Roman was worrying that Deceit wouldn't help them: he was so wrong. Roman was scared Virgil wouldn't want to see him.

"The driver said we'll be there in a moment," Logan said, coming in through the door. He looked a little sick. Logan hated Carriages; they were controlled by magic and had a mage for a driver. Logan had re-entered after claiming he would head outside to talk to the driver - both Patton and Logan knew that was a lie. They had heard him throw up.

"That's good," Roman replied as Logan sat down. "The sooner we get Deceits' help the better."

The surroundings changed to soft trees then to black, cracked trees.

Patton smiled despite the situation. "Ever get that feeling of deja vu? That's what I'm getting..."

Logan smirked, making a small agreeing noise.

Roman said nothing. Roman just wanted Virgil.

Deceit glanced at the imp. "Royal guests? Huh. Send them in." The imp nodded, teleporting away.

"Well, now, you need to fix your collar, honey-snake, because your little hickey is showing." Cooed Remus cheekily, moving behind Deceit's' throne to try smack Deceits' bowler hat off his head.

Deceit went red, slapping Remus's' hand away as he snapped his collar up. He glared up at him as the doors swung open.

Remus gasped. "Roman! Have you come to carry Virgil away to make him your consort? Because, if you have, I will have to beat your head in with a mace."

Roman opened his mouth to answer then frowned. "I haven't seen Virgil in four years."

"You haven't?" Breathed Patton in shock.

"Roman!" Deceit said in an attempt to change the subject. "What do you need?"

"Deceit, Cabina City has been invaded by men in grey armour - they are stealing our children!" Roman directed his gaze at Deceit, locking eyes with the snake-like man. "We need your help, my people are getting injured as they try to fight against the thieves."

Deceit's' eyes narrowed slowly. "We have nothing like that here. Peace has been upon this Realm since your coronation and the peace treaty."

"Where's Philly boy?" Asked Remus.

"Shush, you octopus." Deceit clicked his fingers in Remus's' face. "What age are these children being snatched?"

Roman shrugged. "Anyone under 18. While we were heading out here my advisor said that the grey men had invaded a hospital and stole every baby, toddler and infant they found."

Patton's' face broke briefly. "They took my children..."

Deceit's' eyes broke away from Roman to look at the heart-broken baker. "How old were they?" He whispered softly.

"S-Seven a-a-and five..." Stuttered Patton, eyes slowly filling with tears. Logan wrapped his arms around Patton, shushing him soothingly.

Remus glanced down at Deceit. "If these men come here," He said slowly, "We'll have a riot on our hands..."

"I agree, Remus... We need to contact Virgil, tell him to look out for these people and that he must not interact." Deceit turned up to Remus, who nodded and clicked his fingers as he walked away, searching for an imp.

Roman blinked. "What do you mean, 'contact Virgil'?"

"He's gone out on a mission to search for other life outside our Realms. His imps and thestral are with him, so he can get out of any troubles he may find himself in. We haven't seen him for two months, but we've had updates from him and his imps." Deceit explained. His snake eye slit in mild confusion. "You're dating him. Didn't he tell you?"

"Again," Roman shrugged, "I haven't seen him in four years."

Deceit nodded then stood. "We'll give you assistance. Let me just check Remus is actually writing Virgil an update and isn't trying to teach an imp how to box."

And with that, the Dark King left.

Roman shook his head with a grin, turning back to Patton and Logan. "Those two are a weirder couple than you guys!"
