Deceit slowed his thestral to a steady walk. He still couldn't sense Virgil's' magic, but Remus's' was strong. He kept scanning the surroundings, his vision yellow as a result of using his powers. Something big jumped out at him, and Deceit spun his thestral from its' path. "Troll." He spat. Reaching for his belt, he removed a sword hilt from a scabbard - pressing a button, a blade of glistening yellow pushed through on either side, finishing with a funny metallic noise.
Trolls were big, stupid and deadly. They had a habit for eating animals smaller than themselves; practically everything. That's when Deceit noticed something tucked into the trolls' belt. A green rag. Remus.
Deceit felt his anger blossom. He went to stab the troll in revenge for his fiance when it dropped to one knee. "King... Deceit..." It said brokenly.
He lowered his sword. "You know who I am?"
"Our... king speaks... most... highly of... you..."
Deceits' anger formed instantly into a hopeful excitement. "Take me to your king." He demanded, putting away his sword.

The troll led him into it's home. A stinky, muddy place, with reeking houses and thatch roofs. A cave was up ahead, with the word 'King of Trolls' engraved crudely into the rock. Deceit was suddenly aware of the propaganda he had heard about trolls - this village wasn't covered with rotting bodies of unfortunate beasts. It was a pathetic attempt at civilization, and he was getting used to the smell.
The cave for their king was covered by mossy drapes, and his troll guide parted them to let him ride in, as he still rode his thestral. A wooden chair sat in the centre of the lightly furnished room, as an excuse for a throne. The figure sat on the throne straightened. "Dee! Babe!" It cried.
"Re-Remus?" Asked Deceit, more surprised than anything else. The Duke was taller and stronger, even though he had only been missing for a week. His dark green sash was missing, with a piece that had been ripped off tied around his bicep. "Remus!" Deceit sat up happily on his thestral.
Remus jumped off his throne, running up to Dee. "Welcome to my kingdom!" He quipped cheekily. Taking Deceit's' gloved hand, he bowed mockingly. "I hope it is suitable..."
"I am so happy to see you!" Deceit knew how high and excited he sounded. "Where's Virge?"
Remus stiffened, looking up with a straight face. "He didn't come back?"
The happiness evaporated. "No."
Remus swallowed, straightening.
"What happened? Remus, what happened?" Deceit leaned down, panicked.
"We- we were ambushed by trolls a-and I told him to run in the direction of a castle spire! Are you sure he isn't home?"
"No, he isn't! Which way did he go?!"
Remus looked across to a troll who pointed south. The Duke paled. "He went south. He went into the Light realm."
"The Light Realm... have my brother..." Deceit said slowly. "They have the heir to the throne."
"Now, Dee, don't do anything rash-!"
"They've taken my brother." Deceit set his thestral into a walk, leading it to the cave of the entrance. When he reached it, he glanced back to Remus. "This means war."

Sorry, I have no idea what that was about. But hey, it's finally happening, right? They finally get to plunge into a destructive pit of blood and death! Just what we always wanted!
