- The Next Afternoon -

The bright sun peaked through my maroon colored fabric curtains across from my bed, making me slightly squint and rub my eyes before fully opening them. I felt a strong grip around my waist and a soft, slow breath on the back of my neck.

I smiled softly, knowing it was Jack still sound asleep. I was content, being in his arms made me feel so protected. His grip was tight but not tight enough to hurt me, it was almost like he was afraid that I'd leave him. Now as much as I wanted to say that wasn't true, I really had to use the bathroom.

I licked my lips before biting down on my bottom lip, grabbing his hand and cautiously lifting it up, while looking over my shoulder to make sure he was still asleep. Sure enough, I seceded in getting out of his grip and swung my legs over the edge slowly, lifting myself up from my laying position.

I ran my hand through my bed hair, yawning quietly then pushed myself up off the bed. The cool air sent chills throughout my body as I made my way into the bathroom, carefully closing it, making sure it didn't make any noise.

I looked in the mirror, my hair wasn't as messy as I expected it. I extended my neck, seeing Jack's marks placed along my neck, near my jawline. I ran my cold fingertips over them, reminiscing last night's events.

Usually, I'd get upset about having hickey's, at-least I did with Andrew. But with Jack it was different, I actually adored them. I smiled before lowering my hand back down to my side. I realized what I came into the bathroom for in the first place and quickly peed, flushing the toilet and washing my hands afterwards.

After I dried my hands, I opened the bathroom door and walked out. Jack was still sleeping peacefully so I figured it was the perfect time to go downstairs and make some Hot Chocolate to warm us up from the cold fall weather that made it's way into my house. I didn't like putting on the heat since It got warm way too quickly, I liked to find my own ways of warming up.

I snuck my way out of my bedroom and down the stairs, into the kitchen. I walked to my cabinets and reached up for the hot chocolate box. Once I finally grabbed it, I opened up two packets and began to make them. The smell of fresh Hot Chocolate soon filled my nostrils, making me smile as I grabbed the warm cup.

"Good morning," Jack said behind me, making me jump slightly, dripping a little hot chocolate on my hand.

"Shit," I sighed, chuckling softly, "you scared me." I waved my hand, trying to cool off the stinging and burning sensation.

Jack walked over to me and grabbed my hand, kissing where the Hot Chocolate had burned me, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." He mumbled against my skin.

I shook my head, "It's fine," I reassured him, "How'd you sleep?" I asked, handing him his cup.

"Like a baby." He smiled, sipping his drink then subsequently sat it down on the Island, walking towards me and wrapping his arms around my waist.

He rested his head in the crook of my neck, making me lean my head against his. "That's good," I whispered, running my empty hand through the back of his hair.

"It's so cold in here," He complained.

I nodded, "Well being that you got rather warm last night and decided to take off your hoodie, I'd expect you to be a little cold." I teased.

He chortled and shook his head, "But it's okay because you're keeping me warm right now." He smiled against my neck.

I smiled, sitting down my cup and wrapping my other arm around him, pulling him closer and rubbing my warm hands down his back.
