Chapter LI

- 1 Week Later -

"So, what's going on with you and Jack?" Alexis questioned, sipping on her juice.

"What do you mean?" I asked, looking up from my phone.

She sucked her teeth at me, "Are you guys dating yet?!" She exclaimed.

I giggled, "No, not yet."

Alexis slouched, a disappointed expression on her face, "What? Why not? I thought you told me you confessed your love and told him you were ready, or did I imagine that?" She looked off to the side, trying to remember.

I nodded, "No I did, he just wanted to be more...romantic? I guess."

"What could be more romantic than that night?" She asked.

"I know right!" I exclaimed, raising my eyebrows and nodding, "Apparently he wants to ask me when the 'time is right.' " I used air quotes.

"What the hell does that mean?" She groaned.

I shrugged, "I don't know, but I guess I'll have to wait and see."

7:37PM

I was bundled in my bed watching a Twilight marathon on ABC Family. I had a couple bags of junk food with me and I was completely into the movie.

"God this is so dramatic," I mumbled to myself as I watched Jacob tell Bella he couldn't be around her or else she'd get hurt.

A few minutes later, my door bell rang making me groan. As painfully corny as Twilight was, I was still into the movie. I sighed and swung the covers off of my body, pushing myself off the bed slowly with my eyes still on the television.

I slowly made my way to the door, hoping a commercial would come on by the time I went to go downstairs. Thankfully, it did. I jogged out my room and down my stairs, sliding to the front door and opening it.

"Hey," I smiled, being engulfed in Jacks arms.

"What's up, beautiful?" He smirked, looking down at me.

"Currently watching Twilight, what's up?" I ran my hand through my hair.

"Get dressed, I wanna take you somewhere." He smiled, intertwining our fingers together.

I sighed, "You and your got damn surprises."

Jack chuckled and wrapped his arms around my waist, picking me up and tossing me over his shoulder. I groaned but let my body fall limp over his shoulder. He walked up the stairs and into my bedroom where the movie had started again.

Jack put me down on my bed and chortled as I kept my eyes on the t.v.

"Babe," Jack grabbed my hand.

"Hmm?" I hummed, not taking my eyes off the television.

"Get dressed!" He pulled me up.

"Pick out something for me, please?" I asked, taking a quick glance at him.

"Seriously?" He whined, throwing his head back.

I nodded, "Yeah, I mean it's your surprise. You know what would be best for me to wear." I shrugged, trying to convince him.

He exhaled deeply, "Fine." He let go of me and walked over to my closet and began rummage through my things.

"Woah," he mumbled after a few minutes of going through my things.
