"You know what, Andrew. I'm gonna forgive you." I nodded, "but only because if it wasn't for the way you treated me, I don't think I'd find the guy I love right now."

"You moved on?" He asked, half shocked and half happy.

"Slowly but surely, yes I did. " I nodded.

Andrew nodded, a faint smile on his lips, "I'm happy for you, Sky. You're an amazing girl and you deserve to be treated like the amazing person you are. I couldn't do it so I'm hoping he - whoever he is- can."

I smiled softly, "He is. I'm very happy but we're not official yet."

"Why not?" He asked.

"Well thanks to our relationship, I have trust issues when it comes to dating. I don't want to be hurt again, but he's been showing me lately that he's not going to or at least it wouldn't be intentional. Once he comes back from LA, we're gonna make it official." I explained.

"LA?" He raised his eyebrows, it was evident he was impressed by my upgrade in the tone of his voice.

"He sings with his best friend and he moved out to LA but he's coming back for Christmas."

"Wow, you upgraded big time I see." He chuckled.

I nodded in agreement, "I sure did." I mumbled.

"It'll be hard to upgrade from you, I hate myself for taking you for granted but I'm ecstatic that you've moved on and you're happy. Thank you for forgiving me Sky, and once again I'm extremely sorry for hurting you." He stood up.

I stood up as well, "Thank you for finally manning up and admitting your wrong doings. I appreciate it and it definitely helped me." I smiled softly.

"Would it be inappropriate if I asked for a hug?" He asked.

I pursed my lips to the side, "Just don't touch me with that hand." I pointed to his bloody hand.

He chuckled and nodded, opening his arms and engulfed me in a tight hug. I tentatively hugged him back. It had been a full year since I hugged Andrew. This all felt like a dream, a crazy unreal dream.

We both pulled away and took a deep breath simultaneously, "Well, I gotta go clean up my face. It was great talking to you and fixing things between us. Maybe we can be friends eventually."

"Maybe one day. Take care of yourself, Andrew. Tell your mom I said hi and that it gets better. Tell her to not give up."

He nodded, "Will do." He smiled before walking away.

"You'll never guess who I talked to today." I plopped down on the couch after changing into a pair of sweats and a white v-neck.

"Who?" Alexis asked, looking up from her phone.

"Andrew." I sipped on my Arizona tea. "What!" She exclaimed.

"Chill, it actually helped a lot." I conveyed.

"What happened?" She sat up, leaning her elbows on her knees.

"He apologized believe it or not." I raised my eyebrows, playing with my can of Arizona Tea.

"What?" She dragged out, clearly shocked.

I nodded, "I know! It took me by surprised and it still surprises me now."

"What'd he say?"

"He told me why he did it and how he's trying to change. He told me what happened to his mom and she went through the same exact thing he put me through."

She shook her head, holding out her hands, "Wait, how did you guys run into each other?"

I chortled, "Funny story actually. You know how I went for a jog?" I asked.

She nodded, "Well I was thinking about him and what happened yesterday and I guess I wasn't paying attention to where I was going so I stopped to take in my surroundings. I ended up at the park a couple blocks from here. Anyway I hunched over to take some deep breaths and then I feel a hand on my back so of course, my scary ass hops up and instantly punches him in the face not knowing who touched me." I explained.

Alexis bursts out in laughter, hunching over holding her stomach. Her face turned a slight red from laughing so hard, "Oh my goodness," she managed to say.

Her laughing made me laugh, so we both were a huge ball of laughter. We both finally calmed down by taking deep breaths.

"He deserved it, he's lucky that's all he got." She sighed, holding her stomach.

I nodded in agreement, "That's what I told him."

"So, have you told Jack about all of this?" Alexis asked, laying back on the couch.

"No, I don't plan to tell him until he gets here because I don't want him to be distracted."

Alexis nodded, "That makes sense. Well at least you and Andrew are on good terms and you can finally completely move on."

"Yeah, I can finally love Jack the way he deserves." I smile, playing with the top of my can.

She gushed, "Aww, I'm so happy for you Sky. You deserve to be happy, I've seen you upset and lonely for too long."

"I was never lonely, I always had you and Summer."

"Yeah but we can't please you in that way, Sky." She rolled her eyes playfully.

"I guess you're right, I just can't wait until he gets back." I smiled, squealing a little.

"Tomorrow morning right?" She asked, smiling at my giddy expression.

I nodded and squealed again, "Yes! Then he's mine until New Years."

"He's going back to LA for New Years? Go with him! I'll watch the house for you, go celebrate the new year with Jack, it's like - it's like a fresh start with the one you love." She suggested.

Alexis had a good point. It'd be nice to go back to California, I love it there. I'd have to talk to Jack about it first but maybe I would.

A New Year with a New Start at love.
