Chapter XXIV

"Mom, Dad, we're here!" Jack announced, a smile plastered on his face while I continued to exhale slow breaths, not wanting to embarrass myself in front of the woman who gave birth to Jack.

Jack held my hand, leading me into the living room where he heard everyone at.

"Hey, Jack!" He was greeted by his family, receiving tons of huge hugs.

I stood behind him and smiled at how happy they were to see him, it was adorable. I loved a guy who was so family orientated, it was a huge turn on.

After Jack finished his hugs, we turned around and waved me over. I bit my lip and walked to Jack's side, looking down nervously and smiling before looking back up.

Jack slithered his hand around my waist, pulling me closer to his waist, "Mom, Dad, this is Skylar." Jack introduced me with a proud smile.

I gave them a polite smile, "Hi, it's nice to finally meet you guys." I said politely, my voice shaking from nerves.

It was evident in their wide-eyed expression that they were surprised, "Jack I know you told me you were bring a guest but I didn't know it was a girl, " His mom looked over at Jack.

I instantly felt stupid for coming, I knew it wasn't the right time. "Well I wanted it to be a surprise." Jack said, squeezing my side once he saw me lower my head.

"Well it certainly is, but it's so nice to meet you, Skylar. I'm Katherine and this is David, " She put her hand on Jack's dad's shoulder, "You're very beautiful." She complimented me.

I looked up and smiled, "Oh, thank you. So are you, Ms. Katherine." I said politely.

"Oh no, " She chortled, "just call me Katherine." I nodded and sighed in relief.

I looked up at Jack who was smiling down at me, happiness evident in his expression.

"Well, let's eat!" David exclaimed with a smile.

While everyone was engaged in a family-related conversation, I couldn't help but smile at Jack and how cute and happy he was with his family. His smile was always mesmerizing but when he's with his family, his smile was just so much more radiant.

It was always a turn on for me when a guy loved being around family, it's almost like when a guy is good with kids. I'd catch myself looking over at Jack talking to one of his family members and just look down at my food and smile.

"So Skylar, we haven't talked to you yet." Katherine took me out of my thoughts, "Tell us about yourself?"

I felt myself become nervous once again, "Uh, " I faltered, "what would you wanna know?" I asked, brushing hair out of my face.

"Where are you from, how old are you, do you go to college, things like that." She explained.

I took a deep breath, "Well um, I'm from here, I'm 18 and no I don't go to college. I don't really know what I wanna do yet, so I'm taking a few months off of school to clear my mind especially with a bunch of things going on in my life right now, I just need a break from possible extra strength." I answered.

She nodded, "You work right?"

I nodded, "Yeah I work at the local restaurant with my best friend. I've been working there since I was 16."

Katherine smiled, "Do you have any hobbies?" "I'm pretty talented, I'd like to say. I play basketball, I dance and I play some instruments."

"If you were to go to college, what would you study?"
