Kelis walked out of the bathroom with this blank look on her face. I sat up causing her to look my way. She tossed her phone into my lap. "Press play." I looked at her for a second then I pressed play.
"Happy Valentine Day. To the only woman I will ever love, you're forever mine. Forever." Then he dropped a 6 black roses on her doorstep.
My blood was boiling at this point. What else does she have to say or do to make this man go away? "You need to call Emmi and tell her so she can be aware or maybe go somewhere else." She nodded her head taking her phone back sitting down next to me. I saw her hands shaking and her eyes watering.
"Baby it'll be okay." She looked at me and laid her head on my shoulder as I wrapped my arm around her waist pulling her closer.
February 15th, 2020
"I can't leave her by herself anymore. Anything can happen to her. I would hate myself for the rest of my life if it does." I sat down in front of my dad putting my head in my hands. "You need to protect her and what are you going to do to protect your woman? You can't be with her 24/7. I gave your stepmom a gun, she has her carry license and she can use it so you may want to consider that or having her move in with you."
"I agree with the moving in but the gun I don't know she is not the type to carry a concealed weapon. She couldn't hurt a fly so that's just giving someone a different way of hurting her, especially if she pulls it out and doesn't use it." I shook my head running my hand through my hair.
"Take her to the range and see how she reacts. Get her feet wet a little and if she is comfortable with it bring it up to her if not leave it alone and get her a taser." His phone started ringing causing him to quickly grab something from his desk draw. He gave me a business card to a shooting range. "Tell him your my son they'll give you the VIP treatment."
We said our goodbyes before he picked up the phone. I walked out of his office at the same time Kelis and Jackie walked from upstairs. "Hey buttercup you ready?"
"Not without saying goodbye to your parents." She took my hand and we walked into the living room where my mom was laying down on the sofa watching her soap operas. "I love you both very much and I'll see y'all later but please I'm trying to watch my shows I missed during the week." She waved us off and Kelis and myself looked between each other and started laughing as we said our goodbyes to everyone else and walked out of the house. "Hey let's go do something fun."
We got in the car and she turned in my direction. "What is it?" She furrowed her eyebrows a little bit as she sat back looking over at me. "Fix your face." She rolled her eyes and pulled her phone out of her jacket pocket. "Make me."
I put the car in gear and pulled out of the driveway. "Okay we can take care of that at my place. I think you do this just so we can fuck." I saw her crack a smile out the corner of my eye. "Not really if I wanted to fuck baby I'd just say it." I blinked a few times as she just pressed her lips together looking at her phone.
