Chapter 33

Chris's Point of View

"I took something of yours and you took something of mine.

Let's make a trade. I will give her back when you give my daughter back.

Meet me in the clearing near the eastern border by 12 or

The girl won't be as lucky as the last."

Reading those words out loud for everyone to hear made me cringe. He wanted Willow in exchange for Athena but knowing him there would be a catch. Looking down at my watch I realized that we were running out of time to make a plan. It was 11:45 now and we needed to move. I started barking orders "Leo link the warriors and Doc. Have him call Trixie. Willow go home." As soon as the words left my mouth everyone sprung into action accept for her. She looked at me with such pain in her eyes I wanted to grab her and take it all away.

"I can't go home, Chris. He wants me. Whos to say he doesn't already have men there. What if this is a distraction" She was right. Thanks to our bond I could feel the hysteria building up inside of her. I needed to soothe her and fast if I was going to be able to think and be level headed for the task at hand. "Shh ok. But I'm not letting you get to close. You stay behind me. I'm not letting you go" I pulled her close hoping that our contact with each other would settle both our minds and it worked. I could feel her start to calm. "We need to get going. Let's shift we can get there faster. Bella are you okay to fight if we need to" She said she could and we were off.

Before we entered the clearing we shifted back and redressed ourselves. I mapped out what was before us trying to put together a way to keep my girl and my betas girl safe. Dominic stood front and center while his beta had Athena. She had been beaten which pissed me off. I never wanted any harm to come to the women in my pack. A loud growl came from behind me as Leo came up on my left. "You son of a bitch" I stuck my arm out to stop him from advancing while pushing Willow behind me a bit. I hadn't told her yet but she had captivated my heart and I needed her and needed to protect her.

"Ah ah ah. Don't come any closer or she will die. If you don't believe me ask Willow." He stood in the clearing wagging his finger. Like a mother telling her child no.

"Dominic release the girl she has done nothing to you" I yelled across the field in my alpha voice but it seemed to have no effect on him.

"Oh, Christopher. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Give me what's mine and I will give you what's yours. What will it be" I could feel Willow's emotions and inner turmoil as he said those words. My wolf growled with the need to protect out mate.

"Willow will never go back with you Dominic. She is my mate and is where she belongs" Willow tugged on my arm frantically "Chris that witch is here" before I could look around Dominic shouted "One more chance Christopher." I wanted so bad to wipe that grin off of his face.

"No. I will not...." I couldn't finish my sentence. It was as if my body was frozen. Paralyzed. Was this the witches doing? I could move my eyes and saw Leo was in the same state but Bella and Willow were not. What in the world was happening? My wolf growled and howled being stuck as we were. I saw Bella approach Willow and rip my mother's necklace from around her throat and then the witch came into view. This had to be her doing. I tried to fight this trance but to no avail. I couldn't move.

Helpless is how I felt. I watched as the witch started chanting and Bella pushed Willow to the ground. Before she could get back up her hands flew to her ears and a blood-curdling scream escaped her throat. I wanted to help her. I wanted to kill them all but I was stuck as if I was frozen in a block of ice. I watched the witch flatten her hands and I was free once more but not before she was in my head.

"Bwahahaha Your poor little wolf will be ours, Christopher. I will make sure of it." I shook my head and tried to move to help Willow but was stopped once more. "Give me the girl Chris," I shook my head again. I needed to get to her. I needed to help her. Protect her. I was fighting for control of my own body but she slowly was pushing me back. She was taking control and I couldn't stop her. I went still.

"Christopher" He was talking to me but it wasn't me.

"Yes, Dominic" Stop I screamed and she just laughed. Answering to him for me. It was as if I was behind a wall of glass and couldn't break free.

"Tell her" What did he want me to tell and to who. Bella stood behind Willow my love my mate. She tried to run to me and was pushed away. Anger was coursing through my veins. I was going to make them pay for this. When she tried again Bella grabbed her and held her arms behind her back. That bitch was going to die for putting Willow through this. I was still fighting. I needed control again.

"Tell her Christopher and the girl will be released. Just give me what's mine and I will leave you be" A proposition from the nastiest low life dog on this earth. The witch smiled in my mind and before I could stop myself she crossed my arms over my chest and used my Alpha tone. How in the world did she do that and what was so great that she wore a smile. I needed to rid her from my head. I needed to remove Bella's arms from my mate then smash her face in clearly she was working with the other side.

The witch's voice echoed in my head "Be ready dog. Watch as we ruin you both" Before I had time to question what she meant I heard my voice slow, steady and with my Alpha tone. "I Christopher Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack reject you, Willow Dawn of the Blood Moon Pack, as my Mate"

No! No! No! I crumpled to the floor of my mind. My wolf whined and whimpered. I could see the scene before me. Willow screamed and grabbed her chest. Pain ripped through mine. I wanted to scream that it wasn't me but my voice wouldn't be heard while this witch bitch was in control. No, I loved her. I didnt want to reject her. I wanted to marry her. Make her mine. Have pups with her. Dear Moon Goddess hear my plea. This is not me.

With her still in control of my body, I was helpless as Bella drug her away. Dominic did release Athena who came running to me but stopped when she looked into my eyes. Then she ran to Leo who was still frozen. What did they just make me do? This was a bad dream. I noticed where she stood in the clearing controlling my body and voice. With a wave of her hand, she was gone from me, Leo was released and they all disappeared from the clearing.

I heard the warrior's footsteps as they disappeared. If they would have come sooner could I have stopped this? Trixie came to my slumped form on the ground. Noticing something shiny twinkling in the moonlight she bent down to pick it up realizing it was Willows necklace "Where are they Alpha." When I didn't respond "Christopher what happened. Where is Willow?"

I looked at her as tears streamed down my face. Let me seem weak. Right now I was. The look of shock and horror on her face said it all. I started to punch the ground before me. "No. No. No." Grabbing the necklace from her hands I threw my head back and howled with a force made of pain, grief, and anger. It made even my hairs stand on end. I was going to annihilate the blood moon pack. I was going to save my love, my life, my mate, my Willow!
