Chapter 50

Chris's Point of View

It has been a month said Willows Luna ceremony. She is turning out to be an amazing leader and wife. Everyone in the pack just loves her. Its a nice change to see her true personality come out. She is no longer scared and timid now that those that treated her badly are gone. Today I am sitting in my office watching as Willow was tackled to the ground again. She was picking up fast as far as fighting skills and techniques were concerned but she wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings. Honestly, I was so proud of her. She was picking up on it quickly considering she has never had any official training before. Leo was helping her up when she looked at me. Damn, I have been caught staring again. I just couldn't get enough of this amazing creature who keeps surprising me around every turn.

Willow's Point of View

A month has gone by since my Luna ceremony. Honestly, I loved the pack and the way they accepted me so quickly! The elder ladies of the pack all treated me like their granddaughter. The women and I started getting together for "Tupperware" parties. We don't actually show off Tupperware but rather we sit and discuss our problems, upcoming events, and things needed in the pack. It was really nice to have made them all as new friends. Today I was practicing on my fighting skills. I was picking everything up quickly but today I just couldn't concentrate. I felt very nauseous and all I could think about was what did I eat yesterday to feel this way.I land hard on the ground again with Leo picking me back up "Willow I think that is enough for today. You just don't seem that into it""Sorry, Leo. It's not that I'm not into it. I just can't get my head in the game today. To be honest I'm not feeling all that well""Do you need me to call Doc or Chris?"I put my hands up and shook my head "No. No. I'm just going to go lie down for a while. Maybe we can continue later if I feel better.""Sounds good. Do you want me to send Athena to check on you in a bit?"I could see by the look on his face he was worried and as soon as I turn my back will probably tell Chris. "I'm fine Leo. I just ate something my stomach isn't agreeing with"He nods his head and I walk back to the Manor. I wanted to go and lie down. As I walked up the steps my stomach soured even more by the time I reached out bedroom door I had to run. Putting my hand to my mouth I ran to the bathroom and started to heave and jerk. I threw up so much that I was crying and gasping for air. I felt a pair of hands pull my hair back and rub my back. Leo linked Chris. I knew he would and now he was here watching my puke my guts out. I laid down on the floor because the tile was cool and I could feel my stomach churning again. I don't want to go too far from the toilet. Not right now. Chris hands me a cold wet washcloth and lifts my head so it's on his lap. The slight movement had me grabbing for the toilet again.Half an hour later I was sure my stomach was completely empty. Chris picked me up and carried me to bed. Concern was written all over his face. He never said a word the whole time I was in the bathroom. I closed my eyes once he laid me down in bed and immediately drifted off to sleep. I could feel the wet washcloth wrapped on my forehead. Chris leans down and kisses me head through the cloth "Get some sleep baby if you need me yell" I slightly smile before sleep consumes me completely.I was woken up by another cramp in my stomach and I run to the bathroom. I think the clock said it was 6:00 pm but I couldn't make it out all the way in my haste. My lungs and sides hurt from heaving so hard and I start to cry. What in the world is going on? Why am I so sick? Chris must sense my distress and he comes to my side pulling my hair back and rubbing my back again. I lay my head on my arm and look to my mate "Why me? You aren't sick and we have been eating the same things?" Before he could answer I was over the toilet again."Willow baby I'm going to get Doc. Athena is on her way."I turn my head slightly and nod. I don't really want him to leave but Athena is more like my sister now than a best friend so it was fine. As I lean over the toilet I have up nothing but air. Doc slowly comes into the room and checks my temperature. I insist that it's just some kind of food poisoning and it should be gone by morning. Okay, I was refusing for Doc to really treat me. This was nothing. We ate a lot of new rich foods yesterday so our menu would switch up a bit. "Doc I'm sure it's just something I ate. Please I will be fine"He gives me a very serious look and turns to Chris. "Get her some crackers to nibble on and some ginger ale." He nods and leaves and Doc turns back to me. "As your doctor, I cant make you let me check you over. But as your friend, I beg you to let me run some tests, Willow."I shake my head no and give Doc a reassuring smile. "I'm fine I promise Doc. If I get worse or this doesn't stop I will send for you" "Remember Willow as the Luna we need you in tip-top shape. That's all I am saying"I nod my head as Chris comes back with some mini saltine crackers and a glass of ginger ale. "Chris if she gets worse call me. Sadly she doesn't want treatment or a checkup so there is not much more I can do. Just try to rest Willow."I take a small bite of cracker and then another. Doc leaves and I send Chris back to his duties. Athena stays for a while with me to keep me company. I sip the ginger ale and my stomach lunges again. I scramble from my room to the bathroom begging Athena not to tell anyone as I hug the toilet for the 3rd time today.
