I looked back. I saw Lander widely smiling. Mabilis itong lumapit sa akin. Hindi ko napigilan ang pagka-dismaya. I thought of someone else.
I saw his ID lace. It's the same as mine. Is he studying here?
"How are you?"
Mapalad lang na ngiti ang iginawad ko.
"Okay lang. Ikaw? Kamusta ang UP?" I asked playfully.
"Congrats pala." I added. Naalala ko ang pagbanggit ng aking Ama isang hapunan na nakapag-tapos na ito.
"Salamat, Ana." He murmured and glanced at the man I'm with.
Namula lalo ang mga pisngi ko dahil sa panandaliang pag-limot kay Spencer. Mabilis kong tinaponan ng tingin si Spencer.
"Si Spencer. Kaklase ko." Pakilala ko rito.
"It's nice to meet you." Lander greeted and offered a hand, mabilis naman na tinggap iyon ni Spencer.
"He's my friend." Sabi ko dahil tinignan ako si Spencer sa nagtatanong na mga mata.
Mabilis ding ibinalik ni Lander and tingin sa akin.
"It's been so long when the last time we saw each other. How are you?" I repeated.
"Im completely fine. Hinanap kita kahapon. I'm an instructor here for the mean time, pagkatapos ay babalik 'din sa UP for Law." Sagot ni Lander.
Tumago-tango lang ako.
"Yeah, uh- half day lang kasi ang mga klase namin ngayon." I explained. That's actually true, Hindi kami fully loaded. Our subjects each day are just four to five.
"Si Lian? Kamusta?" I asked dahil wala na akong ibang matanong rito.
"She's fine. Kasama n'ya si Mama 'ron." He answered and glanced at Spencer once.
Pagkatapos ay ilang nakakahiyang segundo ng katahimikan ang lumipas. I don't really know how to make this conversation long!
Lander glanced at his wrist-watch.
"I think, I should go now. I have a class in five minutes. Let's meet again, soon?"
"Sure." Mabilis akong tumango-tango. Lander glanced at Spencer at tumango lang sakaniya.
I waved my hand ng aambang aalis na ito palayo sa amin. He even looked back twice.
"That's awkward." Spencer honestly commented. Mabilis na ibinaling ko ang tingin ko rito. He is looking at Lander's direction.
"It is?" I asked in discomfort. Bumalik sa akin ang bughaw na mga mata ni Spencer.
"Yeah." Spencer chuckled.
"Kaibigan mo lang ba talaga iyon?" He asked and glanced at the hallway kung saan nawala si Lander.
"Hindi nanliligaw o ano?" He added.
Mabilis ang pag-iling ko.
"But my father likes him." I honestly answered.
Siguro ay iyon ang isa sa mga dahilan ng pagiging awkward ng pagkikita ngayon. My father is always mentioning his name and i clearly know what my father's doing.
I felt really uncomfortable now. Pakiramdam ko ngayong nandito na si Lander, my father would be obsessed about me and Lander. It's not that bad but I am clearly not into him.
"Eh Ikaw?" Maingat na tanong ni Spencer.
"I don't." I answered in full honestly.
"Ah, I guess you liked someone." He playfully asked pero nahimigan ko ang kuryosidad nito.
