"Thanks for meeting up with me, Loser." Coiny greets, sitting by me.

"Of course, I don't have work anyway, Coiny."

"So, no more petty murder trials based on revenge?"

"It's cliche, really."

I'm Loser Hednell, and I'm an Attorney. I've been married to Cake for 2 years, and he works for Pin. Coiny's my client when some wannabe tries to bankrupt him.

"So, any laws I should catch up on? Don't wanna get sued and investigated." Coiny asks me, intriguing me with every word.

"Why? Is there something you're hiding?" I joke, but he backs away.

"Nothing. Now, tell me."

"I was just kidding. There are none. No additional laws based on business and marketing."

"How about the market prices?

"As usual, we increased the price of gas and some other necessities."

"That's nice. I'm glad Goiky's doing fine."

"Oh, you know Four. He want everything peaceful."

"He does hate that vice president Two, though."

"He really does. Heard Two hit on X."

"Damn. Loser, you gossiping? Is that legal?"

"Coiny, if talking were illegal, we'd both be in prison by now. But hey, it's a rumor."

"So, how's Cake going?"

I fondle the newspaper in my hands, answering the crossword puzzle. "He's really lively. Plus— I'm taking him to Maldives on our anniversary."

"Sweet."

"How bout you? Hit it off with his Boss yet?"

"I'll meet with her today. Just wanted to catch you up on some news."

"Hit me."

He inhales, and exhales. Looks me dead in the eye. "Firey returned to Leafy a week ago."

I was shocked, but happy. "Oh! Awesome."

"That's not just it. They live together now— In a condominium. And— the best part— Leafy's dating someone else."

I pause. "What. The. F..frosting."

"Yeah. It's Eggy."

"I should've known. Eggy had a crush on her since Middle school."

"Yeah— and Firey doesn't know."

"You're not telling him?"

"I don't want to hurt him."

"Coiny, you care for Firey too much."

"Yeah— let's not go that road."

"So, Firey's back and Leafy's dating someone else and he doesn't know?"

"Yeah."

"If you told him she liked someone else, what do you think would he say?"

Coiny scrunched his face, and thought of an answer. "Something like.. She doesn't really love me anymore, huh?"

I shake my head. "It maybe just.. That's understandable. I'll just pretend nothing's wrong."

"Well he's like that nowadays."

"He's finally learned his lesson?"

"Definitely. I better get going, Loser. Meeting up with my new customer."

I smile, and wave him goodbye. "Oh wait— Coiny!"

He looks back at me. "What?"

"I forgot! There's a law in process!"

He tilts his head, smiling. "Tell me."

"They're planning to allow Divorce in Goiky!"

Coiny's smile faded, and became a face of terror.

"So, If they allow it, it should be a legal in two months!"

"Oh.. haha.. okay.. thanks Loser!"

"Welcome!"

Coiny left in his car, and drove off.

I wonder why his smile faded, since— Coiny's not even married and I won't even divorce Cake. I love him too much.

But then I realized.

Firey and Leafy married in Goiky.

Their legal marriage certificate is based in Goiky.

Firey cannot know about Eggy.
