Firey

    Leafy rested on my lap, softly falling asleep while I fold the clothes for our trip. She'd already asked Lollipop for a week break with me. I've talked to Pen and Tree and they already invited some people on their behalf. I also invited some people. Namely Coiny and Pin. Everything right now was just smooth sailing. There wasn't any pain. It was just me and Leafy and that's all that mattered right now.

  I hear her soft grunts, while she slowly changes her position to something much more comfortable. I chuckle, patting her head and whispering to her ears. "Uncomfortable, princess?"

  Leafy giggles, pushing me away. "Don't do that— you know what happens when you whisper to me like that.. dumbass."

   Seeing her blush and deny my compliments was adorable. I missed doing this with her. I'm glad I'm given the opportunity to do it again and now, forever. Nothing could ever change this. My hands slide to her arms, swooping her close to me and holding her close. I nuzzle her neck, tightening my grasp on her. Leafy sounded confused, as she struggled to move. "Wh- Firey..?"

  "I love you so much."

  Leafy stayed silent, but then returned the hug. "I.. love you too."

  I smile, joyful to hear and get reassured that Leafy loves me, and that I was hers and she was mine. It felt blissful, sweet, and divine. I wanted to fix everything with her. Get some closure and finally talk to her about our futures together. Even now we're married. I'm.. even planning to renew our vows, but that's for the future. All that mattered was the present.

  "Hey.. can you let go of me?" Leafy grumbled, she's probably annoyed about how clingy I am.

  "I don't wanna let you go, though."

  "You won't?"

  "Nuh-uh."

She pulled away from me, looking straight into my eyes. "Hey... Firey.. can you fold later?"

  I tilt my head in confusion, since today she's been so buggy to me, ordering me to clean up my clothes for the trip. "Why?"

  She bit her finger, looking away from me. Her face seemed to have reddened, as she covers it with her other hand. "Uh- well.."

  "I kind of wanna play right now."
