Chapter 29

Twenty Nine

As Kyung Mi tries to block the moment she frightens to see, a familiar voice was heard in her head.

Joselin!

She takes a deep breath as tears flowing on her cheeks. She felt a hand on her shoulder she's pretty sure it's Joo Hyun's. She ignored the voice. She ignored the hand. Her mind is occupied as she's already decided to tell Camila the truth so she can heal Josefin. Screw their plan! They can always execute it on their next lives. But in this lifetime, it has to stop.

One step.

No! Stop!

There goes the voice again.

Another step.

No Joselin, don't do that!

Another one step.

Joselin. Stop walking away. Look at me!

Kyung Mi looked around and saw her twin standing right back at her and she can see right through her, dying on the hospital bed. 

"What the...."

"Joselin, please don't say it to Camila! Listen to me!"

"What... you're dying. What are you doing here?"

"Look. It's a long story ok? Just don't say it yet to Camila."

"Fine! Then what are we gonna do?" 

"Let's switch."

"What!?" Kyung Mi almost shouted that she caught Joo Hyun's attention. There goes the hand again.

"Kyung Mi.." She got distracted by Joo Hyun's voice. She blinked several times and looked at Joo Hyun.

"Who are you talking to?" Joo Hyun asked, worried.

"No...nothing. No one." Kyung Mi answered. Confused.

"Are you okay?"

Kyung Mi put a finger on Joo Hyun's mouth. "Ssshhhh.." Kyung Mi turned around and faced her twin.

"What are you talking about 'Let's switch'? What's that supposed to mean?!" She said to Josefin.

Joo Hyun on the other side looked like he saw a ghost upon seeing Kyung Mi talking to no one.

"It's a long story. Quick! Let's switch now. I'm dying!" Josefin reached out her hand to Joselin but Joselin stepped back almost bumping Joo Hyun.

"No! Tell me. What's going on?" Kyung Mi refused to agree. She can't just switch her body. They never done it before she's completely clueless about the idea of it. And besides that, she can sense her twin was hiding something from her.

The three of them got distructed when Jin Ae's father yelled her mother's name. The three of them looked inside Jin Ae's room all at the same time and they saw Jin Ae's mother collapsed on the floor as the doctors begins to shock her body with the defribillator. "CLEAR!" the doctor shouts.

Jin Ae closed her eyes trying to calm herself.

"Fine. But promise me you'll switch bodies once I finished explaining. I need a body. I have to save Dae Hyun." Josefin demanded.

Joselin took a deep breath. "Alright.". Joo Hyun pulled Kyung Mi's shoulder to face him "What the fuck is happening here Kyung Mi?"

"Joo Hyun, I'm talking to my twin, okay? Stay put" Kyung Mi faced back her twin.

"Okay. I made a deal with the shaman. I noticed he's bluffing when we asked for his help so I told him to tell me the truth. But he won't talk! That bastard. So I told him I'll do anything to have our freedom on this lifetime. He then asked for my soul in exchange of shielding our souls a hundred percent against the eruo and Camila. But obviously he lied. That fucking shaman."

"What!?"

"It's obvious it didn't work because Camila found you and as well as the er......"

"Then what? What happens to your soul?" Joselin quickly asked. Temper rising.

Josefin looked at Joselin straight in the eye, "As soon as I die, the shaman will have my soul as a payment"

"You're dying now Josefin! Why are you saying this just now!???".

"I didn't know I will die this early! It's an accident!"

"So you're saying if you die right now, we will never see each other again on the next life?!"

"Yeah. That's why we have to switch Joselin! Please, Dae Hyun needs me. They're planning to kill him!"

"Then what about me? What about my life now?!" Joselin answered back. She can't believe she's hearing all this just now.

"You'll live again. Damn it Joselin! You will live again! I made a deal with that fucking shaman so we can live this life freely but he fucked us up! Who would want that? I don't! But you will live again! And I will die! This is my last chance!"

Josefin couldn't stop herself to cry. She wants to live. She wants to spend her last life with Dae Hyun. She's desperate.

"I can't believe you're saying this Josefin. You're doing this because of a man?"

"No. What I did with that Shaman is for us to have a normal life. I gave up my soul for you. I realized someone just needs to put an end to this bullshit. I'll die forever and you'll live forever. Normal. No Camila and no Eruos. Can't you understand? I'm giving you that life so please give me this one. For the last time."

Flat line.

"Jin Ae!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Dae Hyun shouted her name as the doctor declared her time of death.

"Camila" Joo Hyun saw Camila standing in the hallway. She look stunned as she saw Kyung Mi talking to Josefin.

"Josefin?" Camila started walking towards them.

"Shit, C'mon Joselin give me your hand!" Kyung Mi is having second thoughts. If they switch, she'll die together with Jin Ae's body. But she can always go back but she doesn't know why and how now that she'll be alone forever. Without her twin beside her. A life alone. She pulled her hand back but Josefin quickly grabbed it and she felt her world spinned.
