Chapter 22

Twenty Two

The minute Jin Ae and finished dressing up, she went straight down to the parking lot leaving Laura still undressed.

"I'm gonna wait for you in the car. 5 minutes" Jin Ae shouted right before she closes the door.

Jin Ae is wearing a one piece, ankle length, black and one printed dress. The v-neck line exposed her healthy breast just enough that a boy in his teens could actually stare at it without causing any trouble. Her porcelain white skin gives justice on the mazed-like prints. The curves are just right and tight on her waist. She's also wearing a glassed-heels that gave her additional 4 inches on her height. Her now back to black hair, neatly tied up in one side.

She takes the elevator going down the basement where her car is parked. The walk on the parking lot echoes every step. She steps inside the car and ignited it. She waited 5 minutes but Laura isn't showing up yet. She turns on the radio and listens her boredom out. Another 5 minutes. No show. 

Jin Ae picks up her phone from her purse and calls Laura. Just when Jin Ae was about to swear at Laura, Laura came knocking at the passenger seat's window.

"God, Laura. What took you so long!" Jin Ae said as she unlocks the door.

"I can't pick up a dress! Geez, Ginny, you have to work on your temper!" Laura answered as she checks herself on the mirror.

"Let's go.." Jin Ae steps on the gas.

"I'm serious, Ginny. You have to talk your problems out. It's getting serious everyday."

"I'm talking to you...."

"No, I mean. Some professional people who deals with someone like you."

"I'm not crazy" Jin Ae shakes her head.

"If you keep on doing this, you might become one."

Jin Ae stops the car. She faces Laura.

"Okay. I'm pissed! I'm fucking pissed about Dae Hyun. But not because he hit on you." Jin Ae takes a deep breath, now lowering her voice "I'm pissed because the other day he was so serious on starting over with me then, the next day he's out there like nothing happened."

"Go on" Laura picks up Jin Ae's hand and rubs the back of it.

"I.. I don't know, Laura. I don't know if I can still do this."

"Do what?"

"I don't know if I can still trust a guy."

Laura picks up the other hand. Now holding both of Jin Ae's hand.

"Okay. Listen to me, Ginny"

Jin Ae looks up as if trying to stop the tears from falling. "Ginny, look at me.."

Tears began to fell as soon as she looks at Laura, eye to eye.

"It's okay to fall. It's okay to be hurt. It happens. We're human. If you keep doing this, it will only get harder. And the next thing you know, you'll be hard as a stone."

Laura wipes away the tears from her cheek, "Daemon is a good man. I can tell you that now. But other than that, I think you must be the one to find what truly lies in his heart."

"Promise me, Ginny. Promise me that you will open your heart for him and try it once more."

Jin Ae bites her lips and takes away her gaze from Laura. She looks down and takes a deep breath. Trusting once again will be hard but a tiny part of her wants to take a chance and start over again with Dae Hyun. It's obvious they started at the wrong foot but it seems for Jin Ae, everything's worth a chance. She's just scared and that avoids her to be herself and just go with the flow. That bad feeling is blocking all the possibilities for her to be happy and it's affecting not only her but also those people close to her. Especially Laura. Every tantrums and mood wings pisses the hell out of her but she's not gonna give up on her friend. Not now. What Jin Ae needs at this point in time is someone who will knock herself out and make her realize what she's missing out from being just scared.
