My hands hurt is the first thing, I think. Then my eyes open quickly. Where am I? The tall gold ceiling reminds me of Asgard's castle.
Then the nurse leans over me. 'Oh, good your awake. Princess Valarie wants to see you. Do you feel up to a visitor?'
I sit up slowly. My body stings and burns. I remove my hands from under the blankets and see that they're wrapped in blood stained bandages.
'Yeah whatever,' I croak with a dry throat. The nurse hands me a glass cup filled with water and hurries off. I slowly drink the liquid watching the nurse as she hurries to the door, sticks her head out a moment later steps back and the door opens fully. Valarie walks in wearing a new suit. It has a fresh design to it. Same colours but it looks more like she's wearing a red and silver tights and a tight long-sleeved shirt. She wears knee-high boots with a small heel designed only for practicality. I frown and lower the drink.
I remember Tony giving me something like it but assorted colours. Loki took it and put it in the Space for me. Val storms over to the side of my bed and looks down at me.
'How are you?' I ask her as I hand the nurse back the cup.
She blinks and looks at me again. 'I'm fine. You on the other hand are covered in scratches and you've managed to break the skin around your knuckles.'
I shrug. 'I'm surprised you didn't bother to heal me. You always seem to do that.'
'I have healed you. You removed all the skin and nearly all the muscle on your knuckles. I could see the bones. Now we're just waiting on your skin to finish healing. It's just broken skin now that's all it is. Your face and arms was full of ice shards and deep cuts. I healed those and now it's just a few minor scratches. I have healed you. But not fully.'
I tilt my head to the side. 'You can bring someone back to life but you won't fully heal me?'
'I decided that I wouldn't as to teach you a lesson. Don't go around doing that kinda shit.'
'Guess I had that coming. What's with the outfit?' I gesture to her clothes.
'We're are going to go on a field trip. Just you and I.'
'The Italian Mafias?' I ask.
She frowns. 'You didn't read my mind, now did you?'
I smirk. 'Might have. Might haven't. You will never know.'
'Nurse, I will take Raven with me now,' Val tells her.
The nurse nods. 'Just keep her hands wrapped and change the dressing every few hours or whenever possible.'
I slide off the bed and Valarie grabs hold of my arm. I growl at her but she ignores me and drags me out of the infirmary and out of the castle.
'Hurry up,' she hisses at me as she starts running down the path to the horses. I give in and chase her to the horses. We get to the stables and Val lets go of my arm as I grab hold of my horse's reins. She steps back as I jump up onto my horse and she climbs up behind me.
'Get your own damn horse,' I tell her.
'Shut up and ride bitch.'
'Fine. Where are we going?' I ask her a moment later as the horse rides down the path.
'The first stop is my home to get my car.'
'Why don't we just teleport into the Mafia's home and kill them?' I ask her.
She looks at me. 'If you feel up to it do it. But let me kill which ever I want.'
I laugh. 'I'll let you kill whoever but if any attack you or if I see you cornered, I will come in guns blazing. Literally.'
