'Do you have a name?' Loki asks as we walk in, me by his side.
'No,' Alec replies.
'I do...Harper. Harper Rose Lockwood.'
'She is so little.'
'She is so early into the world. She needs to be kept warm,' the nurse said, 'she needs to be kept in a fine containment.'
'I know, I'm a doctor.'
'And you need to rest.'
'Please that's the last thing I need to do,' Val smiles weakly as her eyes close. I look around the room before take a seat close to the door while Alec sits next to her bedside.
'What do you two think your doing?' the nurse asks us. 'Visiting time is finished.'
Alec nods and gets up.
'You to Missy.'
I shake my head. 'I'm her royal guard. I can't leave her or the baby alone.'
The nurse frowns. 'Your younger then her. Why are you her guard?'
Loki rolls his eyes and with a quick wiggle of his finger he erases the conversation from her memory and I turn invisible.
'The girl what happened to her?'
'The girl? Oh she already left,' Loki replies smoothly as her and the others leave in orderly silence. I remain where I am in silence watching as nurses and doctors come and go. Watching over Valarie like a guardian angel.
