Tony sighs and watches as Bruce wrings out the cloth and lays it on Raven's forehead.
'She doesn't look so scary when she's asleep,' Tony comments.
'Well, I do have good news. Her week of being here and her organs have recovered from the lack of nutrients.'
'Where are Loki and Valarie?'
'Valarie is busy with her own family problems and Thor said Loki is dead.'
'Loki's dead again?'
'Yeah.'
'Then why is he walking through the door?'
They both turn around and watch Loki as he stumbles through the door on shaky legs.
'Where is she?'
Tony jumps up and moves towards him.
'Where is my daughter?' Loki yells.
'Shh. Calm down. She's right there on that bed. She needs her rest.'
Everyone immediately spins around as they hear a groan.
'Tony moves. Let me see my daughter.'
'No.'
'Anothony MOVE. LET ME SEE MY DAUGHTER!'
'Loki, you literally just came back from the dead. You need to rest as does your daughter. Now-' Lokis eyes roll back in his head as he collapses. 'Uh...Bruce can you give me a hand.'
Bruce moves from Raven's bed side and helps Tony pick the god up off the floor and carry him over to the bed next to Raven's. Once Loki is hooked up to an IV drip and a heart monitor both Avenger's turn their attention back onto Raven. She lies still, eyes open staring up at the ceiling. She doesn't react as Tony picks up her hand. She blinks and he heart rate races as tears flow quietly down her face.
'Raven. It's okay. Shh,' Tony repeats as he tries to calm her down. He looks over at Bruce in despair. Bruce only shrugs and backs away slowly to the door. In the next bed the heart monitor lets out a long, flat beep that Bruce is quickly to run over and silence as Loki stumbles to is daughter's bedside. He taps her gently on the arm and Tony let's go of her hand as he watches as the girl slides closer to Tony, making room on the bed for Loki to sit on. Which he does and sits down and gently pulls the sobbing girl on to is lap, letting her rest her head on his chest as he gently drags his fingers through her hair gentling untangling any knots. Tony gets up and walks out of the room letting the two of them just sit and be comforted in each other's presence.
An hour later Tony walks back in to find Raven sleeping with her father sitting on the chair pulled up close to the side of her bed. Loki looks up as Tony stands at the end of the bed.
'I do have a question for you, Anthony.'
'Don't,' Tony winces at his name.
'Tony,' Loki corrects himself.
'Fine.'
'Ehy did you bring her here? How did you even get her?'
Tony looks at Raven's sleeping face. 'That's the strange part. Before she promptly died, she rode her bike here. She just left and rode here. I had to go downstairs and save the people from her because they refused to let her come up,' Tony chuckles. 'The moment I managed to calm her down enough so he wouldn't turn everyone into snowmen, she just dropped dead.'
'But why you. Why would she come to you for help?'
Tony shurgs. 'I don't know. I have a question for you. Why did Raven have a panic attack?'
'When?'
'When I was talking to her when she arrived about her magic. She had a panic attack and died.'
'Oh right. Because before she died, we believed that she may have lost all of her magic. Just randomly. But when she wakes up again, she will have her ice magic back. Just not any magic we share for a while.'
'That explains why she looked like a freaking skeleton and not her normal self.'
Loki frowns.
'She uses illusions I'm guessing to hide her real state. From the looks of her body, she hasn't eaten in a month. Loki what's wrong with her?'
'I...I don't know,' Loki sighs and gently runs his fingers through her hair. She lets out a soft moan and moves closer to him. 'Will she be fine if I take her home?'
'Only until when she decides to stop eating again. If she stops eating for as long as a week bring her here and we'll hook her up to an IV.'
Loki nods and slides out of the bed, still holding his daughter close to his chest. 'Thanks Tony.' Loki says before teleporting back to his daughter's bedroom and laying her gently down in her bed.
