I sit up quickly and gaze around me as I wait for my heart to settle down. I'm in a cell, on the only piece of furniture in it. A bed. I slide off the bed and take a few steps forwards. I can hear the other inmates down the hallway. From the sounds of it I'm the only one who got a whole cell to myself. My father's clone appears in front of me. 'Hand over your phone,' it orders.
'Why?'
The clone disappears and my real father stands in front of me. His eyes flash green and I feel myself starting lose control of my mind.
'Don't,' I lash out. He stops and looks down at me surprised. I hit him again. He punches me back. I stumble backwards and trip over the bed. I fall onto it and stare up at the ceiling.
'Your phone Raven,' he snaps. It drops out of The Space and onto the bed next to me. I lie still as he comes forwards and picks up the phone.
'Hey that's abuse,' Tony's voice interrupts us.
Loki turns around and walks out of my view. I sit up and see Tony looking in from the other side of the bars.
'She will learn that she can't hit me and not expect me to hit back.' Loki disappears.
Tony sighs and looks at me. 'Are you alright?'
'I'm fine,' I tell him even as I pull out the first aid kit from The Space and pull out the needle and thread.
'What are you doing Raven?'
'Stitching myself up obviously,' I reply. Using magic, I change my clothes so I'm wearing a tank top and jeans. I walk over to the wall and press a hand to it. It freezes and becomes a mirror. I stand in front of it and stitch the deep scratches Alec gave me.
'You know if you had just waited a little bit longer then a medic could have done that for you,' Fury's voice tells me.
'I don't trust any of your people to do anything without trying to hurt me,' I reply as I continue to stitch.
They fall silent. In the mirror I can see them as they stay there and watch me.
I sigh and make the needle and thread disappear back into The Space. I punch the mirror and it shatters into nothing. I spin around and walk over to the cell bars. Tony holds my gaze his face pale.
I hear something flying and hit my neck. I immediately move a hand to my neck and feel a long thin needle like thing sticking out. I pull it out and look in the direction it came from. I can't see anything as everything becomes covered in black. I stumble backwards and fall.
Slowly I sit up again on the bed. I rub both my eyes and lower my hands. This time I'm handcuffed.
'Raven,' someone calls. Lifting my head, I find out that it's my father. He holds a book out. I take it and he leaves. I read.
I finish the book and drop it on the floor. Another book appears on my bed.
It continues. I finish reading a book and another one appears. It keeps happening until I've read twenty books then no more come through.
'You've been reading for four days straight. Get some sleep,' someone tells me.
I lie down on the bed and sure enough I fall asleep.
The door to my cell opens. I look over and see Valarie. Relief fills me. She's up and walking around. She's fine. I turn around. Her hand grips my shoulder. My head turns and I take in the wounds. I move further away.
