The crowd cheers her name as she walks out into the stadium. Loki waits with his weird-ass helmet on. I watch from my seat as they talk for a moment before they begin. Val picks a spear and charges at him. She moves to hit him but he blocks her hit with his sword. It continues on for a bit and from where I sit, I can tell that she's going easy. I watch them and then I sit down. Val goes to hit him hard with the spear when the sword slips in Loki's hand and goes straight into her heart. She drops to the floor and I sprint to her side. I look down at her as the blood soaks the shirt around the sword and then at my phone. Right. Time to see how long before Odin sends her ass back her.
Two minutes pass with me listening to Loki and Thor yell at each other.
'You killed my daughter!'
'Thor....'
I crack up laughing, 'Idiots,' I say.
'EXCUSE ME!' Thor yells. I hear Val's heartbeat again and look down at my phone. Two and a half minutes. Shortest time yet. Odin must be getting sick of her.
'Holy fuck I died again,' Val says as she pulls the sword out. 'Damn dying is tiring.'
I laugh and go back to my seat. I watch as Thor announces Loki the winner while Loki and Val continue to bicker. Finally, they leave thering and make their way up to where I am.
'And the next fight....is Raven,' I get up again and start making my way down the stairs, 'against Archer.' I trip and nearly fall down the stairs as I hear my brother's name.
'WHAT?' Loki yells from his seat. I quickly make my way down into the arena before Loki stops me. Archer only takes a moment before he gets in the arena as well.
'Thor, what is it?' I ask.
'Hands on combat. No more weapons or magic. Strictly no magic you two,' he tells us as his gaze moves from us and on to his daughter.
I watch as my brother shares a grin with me. Thor announces the start of the fight and hurries up to his seat while my brother instantly runs at me. He jumps up and wraps his legs around my throat and we fall to the ground. I reach up and punch at every part of his body I can hit. He doesn't let go of me but rather tightens his grip. I kick my feet and try to move but I can't. I aim a backwards punch to his dick and he lets go. I jump up and he rolls onto his side groaning. I laugh at him and kick his back. He jumps up and runs towards me all his pain forgotten. I dance out of his way and dodge all his loose punches.
'Honestly Archer who taught you how to fight?' I stand still and punch him in the shoulder.
'You are sloppy,' I dodge a round house kick and hit him with one of my own. 'You are slow,' I grab hold of his fist that was supposed to punch me and use his force I turn on my side, one hand loosely wrapped, guiding his hand away from me and the other gently shoving his shoulder. He stumbles to the side of where I just was while I stand where he had been a moment ago.
'You are not a fighter. So why pride yourself in your non-existent fighting skills?' I ask him as I dodge more badly driven punches and kicks and hit him again and again with my own perfected ones. He falls to his knees and I look down at him and rub my nose as it itches. He looks up at me his own nose bleeding and his eye already bruising.
'Because I have been holding back, dick.' He stands up and this time he moves into a fighting stance. I move into my own stance and this time I have a harder time dodging his punches. I take a step back as his fist collides with my nose and another to my eyebrow. I brush my fist against my eyebrow and notice blood. I laugh and fight harder. Punch after kick after punch is thrown and with every hit, he stumbles backwards a step until after a minute he is pressed against the edge of the ring and still I hit him.
