Eight hours later, I go over to Valarie's home and invite myself in. I walk into the living room and find Alec sitting on the couch with Valarie sleeping on him.
I look at him then at her.
'Why are you here? You're not allowed to be here.'
'I wanted to talk to your wife.'
'She's been sleeping for over six hours, no nightmares. I don't want to move. I don't want to wake her. She is adorable when she sleeps.'
I listen as Val's heartbeat beats faster as she slowly wakes up.
'Yeah...your weird. Well when your wife wakes up. Tell her I wanted to see her.'
'Ahuh sure.'
'God couples are gross,' I teleport back to my wing of the castle and haunt it for a bit.
I open a portal into the training room and walk through it.
'Never mind she is right here,' Val says.
'Alright Val, take it easy and no more training,' Thor says as he walks out of the room.
'What ya doing Ray?' I hear Val call out. She watches me as I walk over to the salmon ladder again. My body still aches from a few hours ago but I grit my teeth and stand under it. 'I wouldn't, not until you grow a bit more body strength.'
I ignore her and jump up to the pole. I get through the first level then the second. My body is filled with numbing pain. I won't make the next one. I go for it anyway and I miss it. I fall to the ground and land on my ribs. One of them cracks.
'Oh dear,' Val says as she walks over.
'Leave me,' I get up and make my way over to the chair.
I collapse into the chair arm wrapped around my ribs groaning. Valarie comes near me. I glare at her but she doesn't back away.
'Piss of Val,' I hiss at her.
She only frowns down at me. 'Would you rather moan and groan or be healed?'
I give in and look away.
'That's what I thought,' Val says as she walks closer and heals my cracked rib.
I turn my head and look at her. She steps back, giving me room to stand up.
'So, you wanted to see me?' she says awkwardly.
'Yeah. I have an idea to propose to you.'
She looks at me and sighs. 'And what would that be?'
'Well all this training and the only time we use this is every time someone comes after you or me or after Asgard. And well we seem to have killed all our enemies at the moment and truth be told I'm bored.'
'What is your idea?'
'Well what if-'
'Raven just get to the damn point already,' she snaps.
'Fighting competition.'
She blinks. 'What?'
I smirk and lean against the equipment behind me.
'How would that work?'
'Easy. Everyone in Asgard would be able to participate and we will have different competitions. Some competitions will allow weapons or only certain weapons. Some competitions will not allow weapons. There will be some based on age and some based on skills. And of course, there will be prizes for the winners. The king...your father...of course will participate,' I see Val's look and hurriedly add, 'just for fun. The whole competition is just for fun.'
