Three days later I stand in Valarie's driveway packed and ready to go. Valarie and my family forced me to stay at Valarie's home to get some decent sleep and so I would eat. That was for the first two days. I finally was allowed back to the castle yesterday to pack and now I'm back here to say goodbye.
'Why are you here?' Val asks as she comes out of her home two minutes after I knock.
'I came to say goodbye,' I say like it's obvious and really it is. My motorbike stands behind me a bag attached on the back.
'And?'
'And to apologise. Sorry I'm so hard to deal with sometimes.'
'So that's it? It's over?' she asks.
I smirk. 'Yep.' I look around me awkwardly.
'If I don't leave now, I will never get away,' I say at the same time as she says, 'you need to leave.'
We laugh awkwardly.
'See you later,' I say to her as I give her a hug.
'See you later Loki's daughter.' she calls back as I make my way onto my motorbike.
I look down at the mirrors and just as I ride around the corner, I see Valarie and her family waving goodbye as Thor and Loki stand off to the side watching me silently. There's a gap between the two families. A big enough gap for where someone could stand. I cast a clone and it stands perfectly in between the two families. Between Loki and Valarie. I let a small smile appear on my lips but I only rev the bike and drive off faster. The clone disappears in a puff of green smoke as I leave Asgard on my way to find my own place in the world.
