"Ok, guys, we've arrived!" Ukai called out as the bus pulled to a stop. The team started to shuffle off, their tired bodies still buzzing from the intense match.
(Y/n) yawned and stretched her arms above her head. "Gosh, I'm so tired," she muttered, blinking the exhaustion from her eyes.
Ukai chuckled, waving them off. "Alright, you all can go home now. See you at school."
"Goodbye!" The team called, heading off in different directions.
"See you guys tomorrow!" (Y/n) waved with a tired but genuine smile.
"See ya," Hinata grinned, running off.
(Y/n) turned around to head home, but a voice called out from behind her.
"(Y/n)-Chan~," a familiar voice purred, and suddenly, Kuroo had his arm wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her close.
"Kuroo, you're back!" (Y/n) smiled at him, her exhaustion momentarily forgotten.
"I'm surprised you can jump that high like a shrimp," he teased, a playful grin on his face.
"Shrimp? You mean Hinata?" (Y/n) laughed, raising an eyebrow.
Kuroo nodded, his eyes twinkling. "I mean, you're taller than him."
"Well, he's 162.8 cm, and I'm 165.8 cm," (Y/n) grinned, nudging him.
"Now, tell me, why are you in boys' volleyball?" Kuroo asked, curious.
(Y/n) looked away, smirking. "Girls' volleyball is boring. I wanted more of a challenge."
Kuroo raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "Liar. Tell me the truth."
He pinched her cheek gently, making her whine. "Ow, ow, ow, okay, okayyy!"
He let go slowly, and (Y/n) rubbed her cheek, her smile softening. She sighed, then took a deep breath. "Well, I used to play volleyball with my best friend. We promised we'd always be together, but then my family had an emergency, and we had to move away. He promised me he'd find me, so I joined the boys' team in case he came back."
Kuroo's eyes widened slightly, but he didn't say anything, simply looking at her with quiet understanding. He thought to himself, Why does her story sound so familiar?
"Wouldn't it be hard for him to find you?" he asked softly, his voice laced with curiosity.
(Y/n) smiled, a spark of hope in her eyes. "I don't know, but I'll find him."
Kuroo watched her for a moment before smiling warmly. "Then good luck."
(Y/n) nodded with a faint but sincere smile.
"By the way, is strawberry your favorite?" she asked, trying to shift the topic.
Kuroo grinned widely. "Yeah, it is."
"Then I'll make you some strawberry desserts on Saturday and give it to you."
His eyes lit up at the mention of her cooking. "Oh, then I'll come over, and we'll go back together," he teased, a playful gleam in his eyes.
(Y/n) laughed, shaking her head. "Aww, we're already home."
Kuroo pouted dramatically. "We can talk after dinner, you know."
She patted his head, a soft smile on her lips. "Then after dinner, I'll see you!"
"After dinner!" Kuroo repeated, a little too eagerly.
(Y/n) giggled, waving him off. "Hai, hai."
She made her way inside, dropping her bag in her room before heading to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
