"I'm home!" (Y/n) called out as she closed the door behind her, the quiet of the house greeting her. She walked to the kitchen, but there was no sign of her dad. "Dad?" she called softly, peering around. The house seemed eerily silent. "It's late; maybe he's on a night shift," (Y/n) muttered to herself before heading to her room.
She dropped her bag onto the floor and collapsed onto the bed with a sigh, feeling the exhaustion hit her all at once. "I'm so tired..." she groaned, burying her face in the pillow. She let herself relax for a moment, then glanced up at the ceiling.
A lot had happened during the training camp—too much to process at once.
"Learned new skills... revealed my identity... Tsukki became my closest friend... and... I confessed to Kuroo—or Hubby... We're in a relationship," she murmured to herself, her cheeks turning bright pink. She buried her face in her pillow, embarrassed by her own thoughts.
After a few moments, she stood up and changed into her pajamas. She glanced out the window; his room was still dark. "He's not home yet," (Y/n) said with a sigh. "I miss him..." She opened the window, feeling the cool night air brush against her skin. She rested her chin on her palm, letting her thoughts drift as the wind tousled her hair.
Suddenly, she heard his voice, sweet and familiar, calling from the outside.
"Pumpkin~"
"Hubby! You're home!" (Y/n) exclaimed, a smile lighting up her face. She turned her head toward him and saw him standing beneath her window, grinning up at her.
"Are you home alone?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Dad has a night shift," (Y/n) replied with a small nod.
Kuroo stood up, his voice suddenly serious. "Give me your keys."
"Huh? Why?" she asked, confusion evident in her voice.
"Just give me the keys to your house," Kuroo insisted.
Still confused but trusting him, (Y/n) tossed him her keys. He caught them with ease and flashed her a playful smile. "Stay in your room," he added, before closing his window and leaving.
(Y/n) closed her window, still puzzled by his strange request. She sat back on her bed, trying to process what had just happened, when she suddenly heard footsteps approaching. The door opened with a soft creak, and she looked up in surprise.
"Hubby!" (Y/n) gasped, her heart racing as Kuroo stepped inside.
He closed the door behind him and immediately pulled her into his arms, both of them falling onto the bed with him on top of her. (Y/n) couldn't help but smile as she whispered, "Hubby..."
He buried his face in her neck, his arms wrapping around her tightly. "I missed your hugs," he murmured, his voice soft.
"Oh..." (Y/n) replied, her fingers gently stroking his soft hair. "You missed me too, huh?"
Kuroo pulled back slightly, his eyes locking onto hers with intensity. "It was all written on your face," he teased, making her giggle.
"Can I stay here tonight?" Kuroo asked, his tone suddenly serious.
Her heart skipped a beat. "What about my father?" she asked, her voice a mix of concern and playfulness.
"I'll jump out of the window if he comes," Kuroo smirked, nuzzling her neck affectionately.
"Okay, fine," (Y/n) grinned, rolling her eyes but unable to hide her happiness.
Kuroo leaned in again, his face inches from hers, their gazes locked. Slowly, he kissed her lips, a soft, tender kiss that quickly deepened with passion. (Y/n) closed her eyes, her heart racing, and kissed him back with all the love she felt.
When they pulled apart, he kissed her forehead gently before traveling down to her neck, leaving a trail of warm kisses that made her shiver. He found a spot just below her ear, sucking gently, and (Y/n) couldn't help but moan softly.
"Oh—" she gasped, realizing the noise she'd made. She quickly covered her mouth, her face turning bright red. "Shit," she muttered under her breath.
Kuroo looked at her, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Pumpkin, don't cover your mouth," he said with a smirk. "Let me hear it."
"You're insufferable!" she hit him playfully with a pillow.
"Ow! Ow! I'm sorry!" Kuroo laughed, raising his hands in mock surrender before hiding his face in her neck.
"Alright, alright," he said softly, his voice turning more soothing. "You're tired, let's go to sleep."
He pulled the covers over them both, cuddling close to her. He kissed her forehead one last time before whispering, "Good night, pumpkin."
"Goodnight," (Y/n) replied with a smile, wrapping her arms around him.
The room fell silent as Kuroo turned off the lights, and soon, both of them drifted off to sleep, tangled in each other's arms, content and peaceful.
