"Look behind you."
(Y/n) froze in place, her heart skipping a beat. She quickly turned around and her eyes widened in surprise. "Usui? What are you doing here?"
Usui grinned playfully, his arms wide open. "Woah, chill sis! Can't I visit my lovely sister?"
Usui was (Y/n)'s older stepbrother. Her parents had adopted him when they were still living in Osaka. He had been alone, crying on the streets after his parents abandoned him, and her family took him in, offering him the love and care he needed. Ever since then, he and (Y/n) had grown incredibly close.
(Y/n) giggled, shaking her head. "Now, where's my warm hug?"
Without missing a beat, Usui wrapped her in a tight embrace. "You've gotten taller," he said, patting her head fondly.
"How long are you staying?" (Y/n) asked, pulling away from the hug.
"Just a month," he answered, his smile widening. "And I saw online that you won against Shiratorizawa. Congrats!"
She smiled back at him, relieved to have him home. "Thanks, Usui. Let's go home and celebrate!"
"I'm home!" (Y/n) called out as she walked through the door, Usui following behind. The smell of something delicious wafted through the house, and she saw her father standing with a cake in hand.
"Welcome home, (Y/n) and Usui!" her dad greeted, setting the cake down on the table before enveloping her in a warm hug. "Congratulations, (Y/n). You did well today."
(Y/n) smiled, her eyes closed as she fought back tears of joy.
"Usui, come here," her dad called, and Usui joined the hug.
"Sadly, Mom can't join us tonight," Usui said, his tone a little bittersweet.
"She's still working?" (Y/n) asked.
He nodded, a hint of concern in his eyes. "But hey, when you're on summer break, we can go visit her together. What do you think?"
(Y/n) smiled brightly. "That sounds great!"
"Now, let's eat before the food gets cold," her dad said, motioning for them to sit down.
They all enjoyed a hearty meal together, the atmosphere filled with laughter and warmth. Usui sat next to (Y/n), eagerly digging in, his usual teasing making the night even more enjoyable.
Later that evening, as (Y/n) prepared to head to bed, she and Usui exchanged their goodnights.
"Goodnight, (Y/n)," he called out.
"Goodnight, Usui," she replied.
"(Y/n), you should call me 'Onii-chan,'" he teased.
"Whyyyy?" she whined, clearly not used to the term.
"Because I'm older than you, duh!" Usui responded with a grin.
"Fine, then. Goodnight, Onii-chan," (Y/n) said awkwardly, her face flushing slightly.
"Omg, I should've recorded that!" Usui joked, causing (Y/n) to smack him lightly on the back.
"Ow, ow, I'm sorry!" he laughed, but she just rolled her eyes, smiling as she went to her room.
Once inside, (Y/n) turned on the lights and changed into her pajamas. As she glanced out the window, she saw Kuroo turning his lights on and opening his window. His warm smile immediately greeted her, and she smiled back.
"Hubby," she called out.
"Pumpkin," he responded, his grin growing even wider.
"Oh, right, are you free tomorrow?" (Y/n) asked.
He nodded. "Yeah, I'm free. Let's go out. I want to show you something."
(Y/n) smiled. "Sure, I'd love to!"
And so they talked late into the night, the conversation flowing effortlessly as they enjoyed each other's company.
The next day, (Y/n) headed downstairs to find Usui.
"Are you going somewhere?" he asked.
"Yeah," she replied.
"Then be careful, and come home early. If not, I'll kill that person!" Usui warned, though his tone was teasing.
"Onii-chan!" (Y/n) protested, but Usui just laughed.
"I was joking. Have fun," he said with a wink.
"Bye!" (Y/n) waved, heading out to meet Kuroo, who was waiting for her outside.
He noticed her immediately and greeted her with a bright smile. "Let's go?"
(Y/n) nodded eagerly as Kuroo took her hand, leading her toward their destination.
(Y/n) found herself at the top of a mountain, the vast city sprawled out below them. She inhaled deeply, taking in the peaceful view.
"This is where I always go when I'm feeling down," she explained, a soft smile on her face.
Kuroo stood beside her, his eyes fixed on her. She felt his gaze and turned to face him. "Is something wrong?" she asked, noticing his intensity.
"No," he said softly, a tender smile playing at the corners of his lips. "I was just thinking how lucky I am to have you in my life."
He reached out, gently touching her cheek with one hand while the other rested on her waist. Pulling her closer, he pressed his forehead against hers.
"Kuroo..." (Y/n) whispered, her heart fluttering in her chest.
"Thank you," she said, her voice filled with gratitude.
Kuroo leaned in, capturing her lips in a soft kiss. When he pulled away, he smiled at her, his forehead still pressed against hers.
"I found you, Pumpkin."
"You found me, Hubby."
"I love you," he whispered, his voice low and sincere.
"I love you too," (Y/n) replied, her heart full, the world around them feeling perfect in that moment.
