(Y/n) walked home, her hands full with shopping bags containing the ingredients for the strawberry cake she promised to make for Kuroo. She stood in front of her door, unlocking it with a sigh of relief after a long day. Just as she was about to step inside, she felt someone wrap their arms around her from behind.

"(Y/n)-Chan~ Welcome back!" Kuroo's voice was playful, and (Y/n) couldn't help but smile at the sound of it.

"Kuroo!!" she exclaimed in surprise and amusement. "You scared me!"

"Let me help you with the bags," Kuroo offered, gently taking the shopping bags from her hands.

(Y/n) opened the door, and they both stepped inside. "Thanks! You can put the bags on the table," she said, walking further into the room.

Kuroo nodded and placed the bags down before turning to face her. "Now, since we have everything, let's start baking!"

The excitement was clear in her voice, and Kuroo couldn't resist the grin that spread across his face. "Let's do it!"

As they began to bake, their laughter filled the room. Kuroo made silly jokes and teased (Y/n), who couldn't help but respond in kind. It felt like they were back to their childhood days, carefree and full of fun.

However, during one of the moments of playful chaos, Kuroo slipped and fell forward, his body landing on top of (Y/n).

For a split second, their faces were dangerously close, lips almost touching. (Y/n)'s heart skipped a beat. "A-Are you okay?" she asked, her voice suddenly quieter as a deep blush spread across her cheeks.

"Y-Yeah, I'm sorry," Kuroo stammered, quickly pushing himself off and helping her up. He couldn't meet her eyes, equally flustered.

"It's fine," (Y/n) replied, rubbing her arm as she looked away, both of them blushing furiously. "L-Looks like the cake is done. Let's decorate it," she suggested, trying to shake off the awkwardness.

Kuroo nodded in agreement, though his face was still red. The two of them focused on decorating the cake, both silently trying to ignore the awkward tension between them.

"Done!" they both said at the same time, a sense of accomplishment filling the air.

"It looks good," Kuroo said with a grin, clearly proud of their work.

"Then let's eat!" (Y/n) responded, cutting a piece of the cake and placing it on a plate before handing it to Kuroo.

"Thanks," Kuroo said as he slowly took a bite.

(Y/n) anxiously watched him, hoping it turned out okay. "Is it good?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.

Kuroo nodded enthusiastically, a huge smile on his face. "It's delicious!"

(Y/n) sighed in relief. "I'm so glad!"

"Well, you should try it too," Kuroo said, holding out a spoonful of cake to her. "Here, open your mouth."

Surprised, (Y/n) opened her mouth, and Kuroo fed her the cake with a playful smile.

"Mhm, it's good," she said, a little shocked at how delicious it was. "I didn't expect it to taste this good."

Kuroo chuckled. "Right?"

They both smiled at each other, the comfortable silence between them speaking volumes about how much their bond had grown.

Two Weeks Later

(Y/n) and Kuroo had been spending a lot of time together lately, talking into the late hours of the night. Their conversations often stretched until 3 in the morning, and he loved teasing her at every opportunity. The late nights and hard practices for the Spring tournament had left her exhausted, but she didn't mind. It felt natural being around him.

But lately, (Y/n) noticed something strange. Her heart would beat a little faster whenever Kuroo was near, or when they talked, and it confused her. She tried to brush it off, but it happened more often than she'd like to admit.

One morning, after another late-night conversation with Kuroo, (Y/n) walked to school, feeling the weight of exhaustion. Her head felt heavy from the lack of sleep, and her body felt sore from practice.

As she walked into her classroom, she saw Kageyama and Hinata talking by the window.

"Ohayo," (Y/n) greeted them, her voice tired.

"Ohayo, (Y/n)-San!" Hinata and Kageyama greeted her back in unison.

"(Y/n)-San, are you okay? You look tired," Hinata said, his concern evident as he noticed the small bags under her eyes.

"I'm fine~" (Y/n) replied with a small smile, trying to brush off her exhaustion. "I just talked with my neighbor until 3 in the morning, and then we had practice. It's nothing."

Hinata and Kageyama exchanged worried glances but said nothing more, letting (Y/n) settle into her seat next to Hinata.

The class began, but (Y/n) couldn't keep her eyes open. The lack of sleep was catching up to her, and she slowly began to doze off.

"(L/n)-San! Please solve this question!" The teacher's voice broke through her drowsiness as he called her name, noticing her drifting off in class.

Groggily, (Y/n) stood up and made her way to the board, her head still foggy from lack of rest. With a clear mind, though, she quickly solved the problem.

"Correct, you can go back to your seat," the teacher said, clearly impressed. The class, however, was stunned by how effortlessly she had solved the question.

(Y/n) walked back to her seat, noticing that Hinata and Kageyama were staring at her in disbelief.

"(Y/n)-San, how did you solve the answer so fast?" Kageyama asked, still trying to figure it out for himself.

(Y/n) shrugged with a small grin, clearly proud of herself. "I always study every night, so maybe that's why."

Hinata's eyes widened. "Then, we should study too, right, Kageyama?"

Kageyama just nodded, still shocked by (Y/n)'s response. "Yeah, we need to study!"

(Y/n) laughed lightly. "You guys better catch up then."

It was moments like these that made (Y/n) feel like she was exactly where she needed to be. Her bond with the Karasuno boys was growing stronger every day, especially with Kuroo. Even though she still wasn't sure what she felt for him, she couldn't help but look forward to the next time they'd be together.
