Day 3
After another tiring day of practice, (Y/n) found herself walking out of the canteen, her stomach full from a delicious dinner. She rubbed her belly contentedly as she strolled toward the gymnasium. "Ahh, I'm full," she muttered to herself with a satisfied smile.
As she entered the gym, the sounds of laughter and playful shouts filled the air. Bokuto and Kuroo were engaged in a heated battle for a volleyball, while Akaashi and Tsukishima stood to the side, watching the chaos unfold.
"Good evening," (Y/n) greeted them with a smile, and the others returned the greeting cheerfully.
"Hello, everyone!" Hinata shouted from the doorway, causing everyone to turn toward the voice.
"Oya? Oya Oya?" (Y/n) giggled, joining in on the playful banter. Kuroo smirked, noticing her arrival.
"Oya Oya Oya?" he said, giving her a teasing look.
Hinata, ever the energetic one, ruffled her hair as he greeted her. "You're here, (Y/n)-chan! I didn't even notice you!"
"You were too busy fighting with Bokuto," (Y/n) grinned, teasing him. "Of course, you didn't notice me!"
"We're all here now, so let's play!" Akaashi said, bringing everyone's attention back to the game.
"Yeah, at least Lev isn't here," Bokuto added, looking around. "Oh, I saw him outside. Yaku dragged him away," (Y/n) chimed in, glancing over her shoulder.
"Then, let's play!" Kuroo grinned, his competitive edge coming to the surface. "(Y/n)-chan and Tsukishima will be on my team, while Hinata will be on your team, Bokuto."
"Hey! That's not fair!" Bokuto protested. "I wanted to play with her!" He pouted, but Kuroo just smirked, placing his arm around (Y/n)'s shoulders.
"Too late," Kuroo teased. "She's with me now."
Bokuto groaned, but (Y/n) laughed at the playful banter between the two. "Alright, let's just play," she said with a shrug, taking her position on the court.
The game began with the usual chaos, Bokuto shouting at the top of his lungs as Akaashi tossed the ball to him. "AKAAAAASHII!!" Bokuto yelled, his voice echoing through the gym.
"3...2...1...jump!" Kuroo counted, and he and (Y/n) sprang into action.
The ball flew toward (Y/n), but as she went to block it, it hit her arm and landed on their side of the court. "That's my girl!" Kuroo shouted, giving her a proud pat on the head.
"Ugh...Akaashi, don't toss the ball to me anymore," Bokuto muttered, turning away with a huff.
"Okay," Akaashi replied coolly, as though he wasn't fazed by Bokuto's mood.
Bokuto sulked for a moment before Kuroo urged him to stop. "Bokuto, stop sulking and play!"
Seeing the situation, (Y/n) offered a warm smile to Bokuto. "Don't worry, you can do it!" she encouraged him, making him blush slightly.
"Since Kuroo has a girl he likes... Can I steal your girl?" Bokuto asked, making (Y/n) blink in confusion.
"What?" she said, totally thrown off by his comment.
Tsukishima and Hinata looked just as confused. "What made you think that?" Tsukishima asked, raising an eyebrow. "She's mine," Kuroo said firmly, his voice serious.
Bokuto pouted in defeat. "Geez, fine," he muttered, leaving (Y/n), Tsukishima, and Hinata still bewildered by the exchange.
"Wait, Kuroo has a girlfriend?" Tsukishima asked, eyeing Kuroo curiously.
"Bokuto-san, stop teasing Kuroo and let's play," Akaashi said nonchalantly, as if he didn't care about the drama unfolding.
Bokuto sighed, conceding. "Fine," he muttered, returning to the game.
As the game wrapped up, Hinata couldn't contain his excitement. "Tomorrow, let's play again!!" he said eagerly.
Akaashi nodded in agreement. "Sure," he said, his voice calm as ever.
Before they could leave, Bokuto took the chance to hit Kuroo in the head with a volleyball. "Oi, Kuroo, take this!" he shouted playfully.
Kuroo's eyes widened in mock horror. "You're so dead!" he yelled, chasing after Bokuto as if he were a serial killer.
Laughing at the chaotic scene, (Y/n) turned to Tsukishima. "Let's go back?" she suggested. Tsukishima nodded in response, and the two began to head toward the exit.
Akaashi noticed them leaving and gave a small wave. (Y/n) waved back before following Tsukishima out of the gym.
Outside the gym, Tsukishima turned to (Y/n). "Tsukishima?" she asked, her voice a little more hesitant than usual.
"Hm?" he responded, raising an eyebrow.
"Can I call you Tsukki for short?" she asked, a small blush spreading across her face.
Tsukishima nodded, his usual cool demeanor unchanged. "Sure," he said simply.
As they walked together, (Y/n) found herself becoming more aware of the growing tension between herself and Kuroo. She couldn't help but feel like Tsukishima had noticed. "Recently, I've noticed you and Kuroo are pretty close," Tsukishima commented, his eyes glancing sideways at her.
"Really?" (Y/n) asked, surprised. She hadn't realized it was so obvious.
"You keep staring at him," Tsukishima added, his words matter-of-fact.
The comment made (Y/n) blush harder, and her heart skipped a beat. "Do you like him?" Tsukishima asked, his voice casual but probing.
Caught off guard, (Y/n) didn't know how to respond. Her mind raced, unsure of what to say. Did she like Kuroo? Was that even possible? She wasn't sure, but the thought lingered in her mind as she walked beside Tsukishima, the weight of his question hanging in the air.
