Day 4
(Y/n) walked into the gym with Yachi and Kiyoko, her mind still troubled by the events of the past few days. "Ohayo," she greeted, offering a small smile as she was met with warm responses from the others. Tanaka and Noya were quick to approach her.
"Are you okay now?" Tanaka asked, his voice laced with concern.
"Don't worry! I'm fine now!" (Y/n) replied, giving them a reassuring smile. They nodded, satisfied with her answer.
"Karasuno, today you'll be playing against Fukurodani," Ukai announced, snapping everyone's attention to the upcoming match. "Hai!" The team responded in unison.
As (Y/n) looked around the gym, she heard a familiar voice call out to her. "Hey hey hey! (Y/n)! Shrimpy!" She turned to see Bokuto and Akaashi walking over.
"Ohayo, Bokuto-san, Akaashi-san!" (Y/n) greeted them with a smile and a bow.
"What happened to your forehead?" Akaashi asked, noticing the plaster on her skin.
"Ahh, I just got hit, but I'm fine," she answered, waving her hand dismissively.
"By what?" Bokuto asked, his curiosity piqued.
"By a book," (Y/n) replied, looking away nervously, avoiding their gaze.
"Hey! Kuroo, (Y/n) is hurt!" Bokuto shouted, making her eyes widen in surprise.
Before she could respond, Kuroo rushed over to her and pulled her into a tight hug, his voice filled with concern. "You're hurt? Where? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, don't worry," (Y/n) reassured him, gently breaking the hug. She noticed the other boys were watching, and she could feel their jealousy radiating.
"We should practice now," (Y/n) said, trying to change the subject, avoiding Kuroo's gaze as she went to her position. The practice began, though (Y/n)'s heart remained heavy.
Later in the practice, during a drill with Hinata, (Y/n) watched as he spiked the ball after Kageyama tossed it to him. The ball went flying, and she jumped to block it, landing gracefully.
"A faint?!" (Y/n) said with a laugh, barely surprised. It was Bokuto who had taught him that move after all.
"Oi, Hinata! Are you okay? Do you have a fever?" Kageyama immediately panicked when he noticed Hinata's strange behavior. The others, equally shocked, exchanged glances.
"I'm fine!" Hinata answered quickly, but (Y/n) noticed Bokuto was in one of his "emo modes" again. She chuckled at the sight before returning to her position.
(Y/n) couldn't stop thinking about Kuroo the entire day. She ignored him on purpose, not wanting to be near him. He had a girlfriend, right? The thought of it hurt her feelings, but she tried her best to push it away.
"I think I like him..." she whispered to herself as she sat alone, staring off into the distance. Her thoughts kept circling back to him.
She tried to shake it off. "Does he have a girlfriend?" The question gnawed at her heart, sinking her into deeper confusion.
A single tear fell from the corner of her eye. "Hubby... where are you? I miss you."
"Hubby... I think I like Kuroo..." The tears continued to fall freely as she closed her eyes and thought about the boy who was always so charming and warm. "Kuroo always flirts with me and has a beautiful smile like you, Hubby..."
"What if it's him?" Tsukishima's words echoed in her mind, sending a wave of doubt crashing over her. Could it be? Was Kuroo actually her "Hubby"?
Day 5
(Y/n) found herself walking to the school backyard after dinner, seeking some fresh air to clear her mind. Sitting on the grass, she looked up at the sky, feeling conflicted and heavy-hearted. The feelings she had been suppressing seemed to take over, and she couldn't stop the thoughts from flooding in.
"Kuroo... Hubby..." she whispered to herself, as if seeking some answer from the universe. "They're the same person?"
Her hands trembled as the realization hit her. "They... they... are the same."
"I'm so stupid!" she cried out in frustration, her tears now freely streaming down her face. The weight of everything finally became too much to bear, and she cried her heart out, the tears soaking her cheeks.
Kuroo, meanwhile, had been searching for (Y/n) all around the school. He was confused and hurt. "Why did she ignore me?" he wondered, as he wandered through the campus. The worry weighed heavily on him.
When he finally arrived at the backyard, he heard the soft sound of sobbing. He followed the sound and found (Y/n), sitting on the grass, her face hidden in her hands.
"I know this scent..." Kuroo muttered to himself. The scent of (Y/n), the one he had become so familiar with, was unmistakable.
Without thinking, he rushed over and hugged her tightly, pulling her close.
(Y/n) stiffened at the sudden contact, her body shaking as she tried to push him away. "(Y/n)...," Kuroo murmured, his voice tender as he held her, unwilling to let her go.
She looked away, still not ready to face him. But Kuroo gently cupped her face, making her slowly meet his gaze. Her eyes were red, and her tears hadn't stopped flowing. His heart ached at the sight.
"(Y/n)... what happened?" he asked softly.
She shook her head, unable to find the words. Instead, her lips parted, and the question that had been weighing on her for so long finally left her mouth.
"Kuroo... are you... Hubby?"
