"Pumpkin!" Kuroo shouted her name, but (Y/n) ran faster, trying to escape the wave of emotions overwhelming her.

Shit, shit, shit! I messed up!

Her heart pounded as she hid behind the gym building, gasping for breath. She pressed her back against the cold wall, her chest heaving. She glanced around to make sure Kuroo couldn't find her, but even in the silence, the pain in her heart was deafening.

Maybe now he's accepted her feelings... (Y/n) closed her eyes, trying to push the tears away. I should've confessed sooner. Why didn't I?

"I..." She whispered to herself, unable to hold back the regret any longer.

"(Y/n)!" Kuroo's voice reached her ears, more urgent than before. She turned, and before she could react, he was there, back-hugging her tightly.

"Kuroo..." she gasped, her voice trembling as the tears she'd been holding back finally fell.

"(Y/n)! It's not what you think," he said quickly, his grip tightening as if he were afraid she'd slip away.

But her heart was already sinking. "Maybe you're already in a relationship now... You should go back to her."

She tried to pull away, but Kuroo refused to let go. He spun her around to face him. His eyes locked onto hers, and when he saw the tears in her eyes, his expression softened.

"What are you talking about?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "I rejected her."

"W-What?" (Y/n) asked, her heart beating faster. She wasn't sure if she could believe him, but the sincerity in his voice made her hesitate.

"I like you... no... I love you, idiot!" Kuroo's confession was heartfelt, raw, and full of emotion.

He confessed... (Y/n)'s breath caught in her throat, her heart racing. Her entire world seemed to pause in that moment.

"Pumpkin, I found you," Kuroo whispered, a smile tugging at his lips as he pulled her closer. Without another word, he kissed her. (Y/n)'s eyes went wide in shock, but she found herself responding to the kiss, her heart soaring with joy and relief.

"K-Kuroo..." She pulled back, her breath coming in short gasps as she tried to process everything happening so quickly.

He pressed his forehead against hers, his hand cupping her cheek. "So, what's your answer?" His voice was steady, but there was a certain vulnerability in his eyes as he waited for her response.

"I love you too," (Y/n) whispered, her eyes fluttering shut as she smiled softly, the weight of her feelings finally lifted.

Kuroo's face lit up with a wide, radiant smile. He picked her up effortlessly, spinning her around. "I love you, Pumpkin," he said, his voice filled with happiness.

( Y/n) smiled and pressed her forehead against his, her heart full of warmth. "I love you too, Hubby."

Meanwhile...

"Aww, my daughter is all grown up," Suga said proudly, wiping away a few tears.

"They are so cute!" Yachi commented, her voice full of warmth.

"Hey! Stop pushing me! I can't see!" Noya grumbled as he shoved Tanaka aside, his excitement bubbling over.

"Be quiet, or they'll hear us!" Daichi scolded, smacking both Noya and Tanaka on the head.

"Hey, hey, he—" Akashi quickly covered Bokuto's mouth.

"Bokuto-san, please be quiet," Akashi whispered, trying to keep the group from getting caught.

"Bokuto's right," Kuroo finally confessed.

"Hinata, you blockhead!" Kageyama smacked him on the head.

"Shut up! Or they'll hear us!" Hinata hissed, trying to stay quiet.

"What are you guys doing?" (Y/n) suddenly asked, standing behind them with a playful yet innocent expression.

"AHHH, WHAT THE FU—" Noya yelped before Akashi slapped his hand over Noya's mouth.

"LANGUAGE!" Akashi scolded, trying to hide his smile.

"Sorry," they all apologized quickly, their faces turning red as they turned around to face (Y/n).

"Ehh... umm... nothing," Daichi said nervously, his eyes darting around.

"By the way, where's Kuroo?" (Y/n) asked innocently, raising an eyebrow.

"Nekomata coach called him, so he left," she replied with a smile, feigning ignorance of their little eavesdropping session.

"O-Okay then... We should get back now," Daichi quickly suggested, and the group scattered, leaving (Y/n), Bokuto, and Akashi standing alone.

"Did something happen?" (Y/n) asked, confused by their odd behavior.

"No, not at all. Don't worry," Akashi said, his calm demeanor never faltering.

"Let's go back now," he added, and the three of them made their way back to the gym.

As (Y/n) walked back into the gym, she was greeted by Kiyoko's gentle voice. "(Y/n)-san!"

"Yes?" (Y/n) turned to face her.

"Since you just recovered, I think you should rest today," Kiyoko said with a warm smile.

"Is that okay?" (Y/n) asked, a little hesitant.

"Of course. You can sit on the bench with me and Yachi," Kiyoko offered kindly.

"Okay, then," (Y/n) agreed with a smile, grateful for her teammates' concern.

"Y/n-san! Can I ask you something?" Hinata suddenly appeared, his usual energetic self.

"Sure, what's up?" (Y/n) responded, her curiosity piqued.

"I've been wondering... who is your rival?" Hinata asked eagerly.

"Hmmm... Oikawa and Tendou from Shiratorizawa," (Y/n) answered, her expression darkening as she remembered their rivalry.

"E-Eh, Oikawa, the King?" Hinata exclaimed, clearly surprised.

"Did you say Shiratorizawa?" Coach added, raising an eyebrow.

( Y/n) nodded. "Shiratorizawa is very strong. I remember the last match... Tendou blocked my spike, and I lost." Her gaze grew distant as the frustration of that memory came rushing back. "I hate losing to him."

"We'll win!" Daichi said, walking up to her with a determined expression.

The other boys gathered around her, rallying their spirits. "(Y/n)-san, don't worry. We'll win and make it to the national tournament," Kageyama added firmly.

( Y/n) smiled, feeling a renewed sense of hope. "You're right. We will."

"KARASUNO... FIGHT!" they all cheered together, their voices unified in determination.
