"(Y/n)? Are you okay? Why are you jumping?" Tsukki noticed that (Y/n) was hopping on one foot, clearly struggling with her sprained ankle.
"I'm fine, I just feel like jumping," she lied, not meeting his gaze.
"You look tired," Tsukki observed, his eyes narrowing as he noticed her left ankle was red and swollen.
"Nah, I'm fine," she insisted, though her discomfort was evident. Tsukki sighed, clearly not convinced. Without another word, he crouched down and motioned for her to get on his back.
"Get on my back," he said firmly.
"Tsukki, I'm fine!" (Y/n) panicked, trying to push him back up. But he didn't budge.
"I said, get on my back. Or do you want me to carry you the bridal way?" Tsukki smirked, raising an eyebrow.
('Fine,' she thought.) With a deep sigh, (Y/n) carefully climbed onto his back. "I'm sorry for troubling you," she muttered.
"It's fine," Tsukki replied, standing up effortlessly and heading toward the exit.
As they walked out of the gym, they saw Karasuno mingling with Nekoma. "Tsukishima's back!" Hinata shouted, waving enthusiastically.
"Oiii, over here!" (Y/n) waved back with a smile.
"(Y/n)-san, are you okay?" Hinata asked, his brow furrowed with concern.
"(Y/n) sprain—" Yamaguchi began to say, but (Y/n) quickly covered his mouth with her palm.
"I'm fine, I'm fine," she said with a strained smile, trying to downplay the situation. "I'm just tired," she added, chuckling nervously.
"Pumpkin, are you okay?" Kuroo asked, looking at her with concern.
(Y/n) nodded, flashing a smile. Kuroo leaned in and kissed her forehead.
"Oi, Kuroo! Stop kissing her when she's on my back," Tsukki grumbled, rolling his eyes.
Both (Y/n) and Kuroo grinned mischievously.
"Geez, sorry," Kuroo said with a wink.
"Let's go, Tsukki!" Yamaguchi called, waving his hand.
"See you tomorrow at the match," (Y/n) waved back with a slight smile.
"See ya," Kuroo said, giving a nod as Tsukki left with (Y/n) still on his back.
Later that night
"So refreshing," (Y/n) muttered as she slowly walked out of the women's bathroom. "Now, I need to bandage my left ankle," she sighed, still moving carefully as she made her way back to her room.
Sliding the door open, she found that Kiyoko and Yachi weren't there, so she took the opportunity to grab her bag. She rummaged through it until she found what she needed.
"Found it!" she exclaimed, pulling out the pain-relieving cream and bandage her brother, Usui, had packed for her.
She sat down on her futon mattress and applied the cream slowly to her ankle before wrapping it with the bandage. "Let's hope tomorrow doesn't go wrong," she muttered, putting the cream and bandage back in her bag. With a sigh, she stood up and headed to the boys' room.
As (Y/n) slid the door open...
SMACK!
A slipper hit her right in the face, and everyone froze. (Y/n) rubbed her cheek, wincing from the impact.
"(Y/n)!" Suga and Tsukki rushed over, panic in their eyes, checking her face for any injury.
"I'm fine," (Y/n) said, trying to smile despite the sting. "Why does this always happen to me?" Tsukki facepalmed, shaking his head.
"I'm so sorry, (Y/n)-san!" the others said, bowing repeatedly in apology.
"It's fine," (Y/n) reassured them, waving them off with a small smile. "Last time, it was a book. Now, it's a slipper," Suga muttered, glaring at the group. "You guys are going to ruin her pretty face."
The others froze, clearly intimidated by Suga's glare.
Suga sighed and noticed the small red mark forming on her forehead. "Are you okay, (Y/n)-san?" he asked, his concern obvious.
"I'm fine. But, alright, if any of you hit her pretty face again, I swear I'll smack you all," Suga said, his voice filled with a quiet but intense warning. The others nodded repeatedly, beads of sweat forming on their foreheads from fear.
"Now go to sleep!" Suga commanded.
"Yes, sir!" they shouted in unison, quickly scrambling to their futons.
"Good night!" (Y/n) chuckled softly as she watched them scramble.
"You should go to sleep too," Tsukki said, patting her head with a smile.
"Good night," (Y/n) smiled back, feeling a sense of warmth.
"Night," Tsukki replied, his voice soft.
As she waved and left the room, (Y/n) couldn't help but smile, grateful for the strange but caring bonds she'd formed with her teammates.
