The Day Before the Trip
"Well..." (Y/n) hesitated, looking at Kuroo. He hummed, waiting patiently for her to continue.
"You said you don't have any plans for summer break, right?" she asked, a hopeful glint in her eyes.
"Yeah, what's up?" Kuroo replied, his usual grin brightening his face.
(Y/n) took out the train tickets and held them out to him. "Do you want to go with me to Osaka and meet my parents?" she asked, smiling warmly.
Kuroo's eyes widened in surprise. "What? Really?" He couldn't hide the excitement in his voice.
(Y/n) nodded. "Are you sure about meeting them?"
"Of course! But what if they don't like me?" Kuroo said, his smile faltering slightly, though he tried to keep it light-hearted.
(Y/n) reassured him, "Don't worry. I'm sure they'll like you. Our parents know us, after all."
Kuroo smiled again, his usual confidence returning. "Then, sure. I'd love to."
"What about your parents?" (Y/n) asked, putting the tickets back in the drawer.
Kuroo casually waved it off. "Don't worry about them. They're on a business trip, and I have no idea when they'll be back. I'll just text them," he said, resting his chin on his palm, looking at her with a playful glint in his eyes.
"Hey, hubby," (Y/n) called softly, and Kuroo hummed in response.
"Do you... want to sleep with me?" (Y/n) asked, her face turning a deep shade of red. The words came out before she could fully process them, and she immediately covered her face in embarrassment.
Kuroo's expression softened, his face lighting up with a knowing smile. "Your dad left for Osaka because of something urgent, and you're home alone for two days, right?"
"Yeah," (Y/n) whispered, still blushing.
Kuroo grinned, standing up from his chair. "That means I can stay at your house for two days, huh?" He walked over to her, his smile widening.
"I—"
Before (Y/n) could protest, Kuroo held out his hand. "Pumpkin, throw me your house keys."
Flustered, (Y/n) quickly tossed him the keys, and Kuroo caught them effortlessly. "I'm going to pack my stuff. I'll be right back," he winked before closing the window behind him.
Later That Night
(Y/n) flopped down onto her bed after Kuroo left. "Why did I say that?" she groaned, rolling around, her pillow tucked tight against her chest. "I'm so embarrassed."
She buried her face in the pillow and squeezed it tightly. Her thoughts raced, but exhaustion quickly overtook her. "Hubby is taking so long..." she mumbled sleepily, her eyes fluttering shut. Within moments, she was sound asleep.
Kuroo rushed back to (Y/n)'s house, his bag slung over his shoulder. He threw open the door, his voice full of excitement. "Pumpkin, I'm sorry for taking so long—"
But as soon as he entered, he froze. (Y/n) was lying peacefully in bed, fast asleep. Her soft breathing and the peaceful expression on her face made Kuroo smile warmly.
He chuckled quietly to himself before placing his bag on the ground. Sitting down next to her, he gently stroked her hair, feeling a rush of tenderness. "I'm sorry for taking so long... you must be tired," he whispered softly. He leaned down and kissed her forehead, then whispered once more, "I love you."
Kuroo laid down beside her, pulling her gently into his arms. He held her close, not too tight, but enough to feel the warmth of her body against his. He drifted off to sleep, a content smile on his face.
Two Days Later
(Y/n) awoke, groggy and tired, her eyes fluttering open slowly. The events of the previous night were still fresh in her mind—Kuroo and (Y/n) had stayed up playing games and having a pillow fight until 3 AM. She felt the exhaustion in her body as she rubbed her eyes, but something else caught her attention.
She looked down and saw Kuroo's arms wrapped tightly around her waist, his grip firm as if he were scared to lose her. (Y/n) chuckled softly, her heart fluttering at the sight of him so peacefully sleeping.
Trying not to disturb him, (Y/n) slowly attempted to pull away, but Kuroo, still half-asleep, grabbed her wrist and tugged her back to him.
"Where are you going?" His voice was raspy from sleep, his arms pulling her closer, still not fully awake.
"Hubby!" (Y/n) giggled, surprised but not at all upset. "I was about to go to the bathroom."
Kuroo snuggled his face into the crook of her neck, inhaling her scent. "H-Hubby, i-it tickles," (Y/n) gasped, stifling a laugh as his warm breath made her shiver.
"Sorry," Kuroo whispered, planting a soft kiss on her neck. He finally released her, though he smiled mischievously. "Let's get ready, or we'll miss the train."
"Right. Let's get ready," (Y/n) agreed, smiling brightly. The two of them quickly got out of bed, ready for the trip ahead, the excitement for their adventure to Osaka filling the air.
