(Y/n) splashed her face with cold water and walked out to wash her mouth. As she stared at her reflection in the mirror, her mind raced. "Why do I feel sick...?" she muttered, trying to make sense of it all, when suddenly, the bathroom door opened.

"Honey, are you okay?" Her mother's voice was filled with concern as she entered, her eyes immediately locking onto (Y/n)'s pale face. "I saw your face was pale when you left," she continued, her worry evident as she gently placed a hand on (Y/n)'s forehead.

"I'm fine, mom," (Y/n) replied with a small smile, hoping to ease her mother's fears.

"Are you sure, honey?" Her mother asked, still not convinced. (Y/n) hesitated for a moment, then sighed, deciding it was time to confide in her.

"Actually, I'm... I'm not sure," (Y/n) admitted quietly, her voice shaky. Her mother's expression softened, and she waited patiently for her daughter to continue. After a deep breath, (Y/n) whispered, "Could I possibly be... pregnant?"

Her mother's eyes widened, and she took a step closer, her voice now tinged with concern. "I think we should check, just to be sure. Don't worry, honey, we'll figure it out."

"Okay..." (Y/n) nodded, her heart racing with uncertainty. "Thank you, mom." Her mother smiled, reassuring her with a warm hug before leaving the bathroom to grab a pregnancy test.

Later, after dinner, (Y/n) and her parents returned home. Kuroo, who had been given permission to stay with them, followed them inside. (Y/n)'s father went to his room, while Kuroo and Usui made their way to Usui's room to catch up. (Y/n), still feeling the weight of the moment, went to the bathroom to face the test.

Her mother entered soon after, holding the pregnancy test and reading the instructions aloud. "Here, try it, sweetie," she said gently, offering (Y/n) the test.

Minutes passed in heavy silence. (Y/n) took a few deep breaths, her hands trembling as she looked at the results. Her vision blurred as her eyes filled with tears, and she instinctively covered her mouth with her hand. "M-Mom, I-is this real?" Her voice cracked with shock.

Her mother, smiling brightly, nodded happily. "It's real, honey!" She embraced (Y/n) tightly. "You're going to be a mother!"

(Y/n) hugged her back, overwhelmed by a mixture of joy and fear, her tears spilling freely. "I'm going to be a mother..." she repeated softly, as if trying to convince herself.

Her mother pulled back, wiping away (Y/n)'s tears with a tender smile. "Now, stop crying and go surprise him, okay?" she urged, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

( Y/n) wiped her face and nodded, a hesitant smile tugging at her lips as she walked out of the bathroom with the test in hand. Her heart was pounding in her chest, nerves fluttering in her stomach.

She stopped in front of Kuroo's door, her hand resting on the doorknob, but a chilling thought suddenly popped into her mind—the very words she never wanted to hear again.

"Aren't all children the same?"
"Kuroo... do you hate children?"
"I hate them."

She pulled her hand away from the doorknob, panic rising within her. What if he didn't want this? What if he rejected the idea of starting a family with her? She felt the weight of the pregnancy test in her pocket, suddenly heavy and too much to carry alone.

Before she could retreat to her room, the door opened, and Kuroo stood there, smiling as he saw her. "Pumpkin...?" he said, his voice soft and affectionate.

"O-Oh, hi, Hubby," (Y/n) said nervously, waving at him. She quickly tried to hide the pregnancy test behind her back, but her hands were shaking.

"What are you doing here?" he asked with a warm smile, concerned at how flustered she seemed.

"Ah, I-it's just... I came to say hi," she stammered, avoiding his gaze as her heart raced.

Kuroo chuckled softly, noticing her unease. "You should go to sleep, it's late," he said gently, walking over and placing a soft kiss on her head. "Good night, pumpkin."

"Mhm, good night, Hubby. Tell Usui good night too," she mumbled with a nervous smile. She quickly turned and walked back to her room, feeling her heart pound with doubt.

As soon as the door closed behind her, the tears she had been holding back began to fall. She slid down the door and hugged her knees to her chest, her mind a whirlwind of questions and uncertainty.

"What should I do...?" she whispered to herself, the weight of the situation crashing down on her.
