AMELIAS POV
It was Saturday and Owen and I both had off so it was a nice day with the kids. Owen and I were watching the news on the couch, Riley and Noah were outside playing on the swing set, and our 4 teenagers were upstairs, either playing video games or doing homework. I moved over and put my head in Owen's lap. He ran his fingers through my hair and I looked up at him and smiled.
"The house is so quiet," I chuckled.
"I know," he said.
"It's so nice," I said.
"Yeah," he said.
OLIVIAS POV
I was kinda feeling impulsive, I wanted to cut my hair. Not super short, only 2 or 3 inches off the bottom, and my hair was far past my shoulders anyway so it wouldn't make a difference. I figured I could just do it myself, I mean it's not that hard. I grabbed a pair of scissors and sectioned my hair off and just trimmed the bottom, honestly it probably wasn't even that noticeable, it was only 3 inches. I walked into the hallway and Ava opened her door.
"Did you cut your hair?" She said.
"Uh yeah," I said.
"It looks good," she said.
"Thanks," I said.
"Your hair would look good really dark," she said.
"Would it?" I said.
"Yes," she said, "dude ask mom she has hair dye."
"I don't know," I said.
"Does she know you cut your hair?" She chuckled.
"No," I said.
"She freaks out about everything!" Ava laughed.
"Shhh," I chuckled.
"Can I ask you a question?" Ava said.
"Sure," I said.
"It's a kinda I don't wanna ask you in the middle of the hallway type of question," she chuckled and walked into her room.
"Okay," I said and sat down at her vanity and faced her. She sat down on her bed and she looked kinda stressed.
"I think Justin wants to have sex," she said.
"What!" I said, "what did you say?"
"Well I didn't say anything but he kept like hinting at it," she said.
"Okay so do you want to?" I said.
"No," she said.
"Then tell him that," I said.
"It's not that easy," she said.
"Ask mom," I chuckled.
"Oh because she says no her and dad clearly have a very active sex life," Ava joked. I laughed and she did too.
"I don't want to hurt his feelings," Ava said, "it's nothing about him it's just me."
"Then just say that," I said.
"Ugh," she said, "but what if he wasn't hinting and I'm wrong?"
"Then you're stupid," I said.
"Olivia!" She complained, "anyway so you have a love interest?"
"No," I said quickly to hide the fact that I was lying.
"You're lying!" She said, "boy or girl?"
"Girl," I said. She smiled.
"I wanna see a picture, is she pretty?" She asked, I loved how caring she was about my
Sexuality and never judged me.
"Yeah," I said and got up and showed her a picture off her Instagram.
"Omg she's cute," Ava said, "so are you dating."
"Uh no we're kinda just talking," I said.
"So like a Liam Jamie thing?" She chuckled.
"No like an Ava Justin thing," I joked.
"Hey we are boyfriend and girlfriend!" She said.
"Yeah after like 3 months," I chuckled.
OWENS POV
The kids came in for lunch. Everyone was making their own lunch and Amelia was making coffee, nothing new.
"Liv," Amelia said, "did you cut your hair?"
"Uh," Olivia said, "yeah."
"I love your long hair," Amelia complained. If we're being honest I looked at her hair and it really didn't look that different.
"It's only 2 inches shorter!" Olivia said.
"At least it's even," Amelia chuckled and fluffed her hair, "maybe you should cut mine."
"But I like your long hair," I mocked her.
"Shut up," Amelia chuckled.
"Ava said I should dye it," Olivia said.
"Don't bring me into this," ava chuckled.
"Your hair is so pretty," Amelia said.
"Mom it's just brown," Olivia chuckled, "you dye your hair."
"She does it because it's gray," I chuckled.
"Owen," Amelia chuckled and elbowed me.
"I'm not wrong," I chuckled. She made a face at me and nudged me again.
"Shut up," she chuckled.
"Can we watch a movie tonight?" Noah asked.
"Why not," I said.
"Do we have to watch a movie?" Logan complained, "can we do something else."
"Like what?" Amelia asked.
"A board game," Logan said.
"Fine with me," Amelia said.
"Which one?" Riley asked.
"Life!" Noah said.
"I like that game," Ava said.
"We should do teams so we don't have to wait through 8 turns," Liam chuckled.
"I second that," Olivia said.
"I can agree with that," Amelia said.
"Me too," I said and kissed her head. Everyone had their lunch and sat at the table.
"So how is everyone's day?" Amelia said.
"I have too much homework," Liam complained.
"Me too," Ava said, "teachers are insane."
"I agree," Logan said.
"I'm sorry," Amelia chuckled.
"Well you guys have all tomorrow too," I said.
"Yeah," they said.

We were getting ready for game night and Amelia put her hair in a bun. She was so cute.
"Hm which sweatshirt of yours should I wear tonight?" She chuckled and walked into my closet.
"Your own," I joked and wrapped my arms around her waist and picked her up.
"Owen!" She chuckled, "put me down." I put her down and she chuckled.
"You're such a goof," she chuckled and kissed me.
"So are you," I said and pecked her lips.
AMELIAS POV
Most of the kids were already downstairs so I walked down the hallway to see who was still getting ready. I walked past Noah's room and it was empty. I looked over at Riley's room and her door was closed. I knocked on the door.
"Come in," she said. I came in and she was sitting on her floor writing something.
"What are you writing?" I asked.
"Something for Doctor Dolan," she said.
"Do you like talking to her?" I asked.
"Mhm," she said, "and my dreams are better."
"Are they gone?" I asked. She shook her head no.
"I'm not scared of them," she said and closed her folder and got up and put it on her desk.
"Well that's good baby," I said.
"Yeah," she said.
"You ready to play Life?" I asked.
"Yeah," she smiled. She ran downstairs and ava and olivia were walking down the hallway.
"Hi mom," Ava said.
"Hi," I said. We walked downstairs and Owen was sitting with the kids.
"Can we sit at the table?" I chuckled.
"No," Liam joked.
"Guys I'm old," I joked and sat down next to Owen.
"Quit complaining," Owen said.
"Hey," I said and hit his chest. Logan and Noah set up the board and Olivia made pieces of paper with everyone's name in it to pick teams.
"Alright I'm picking first," Olivia chuckled. She picked a piece of paper.
"Riley!" She smiled and handed the box to Owen who was sitting next to her. He picked a name and looked at me.
"You're stuck with me," he chuckled.
"You had to have cheated how did you get mom," Liam laughed. I chuckled and passed the box to Noah.
"Ava," Noah said and gave the box to Liam, which left Liam and Logan to be partners.
"We're going first because Riley is the youngest," Olivia chuckled.
"Then riley has to spin," Logan joked.
"Okay!" Riley said and spun. I put my head on Owen's shoulder as he put his arm around me.

The game was almost over and we were in our last few turns.
"Ava can we buy the house?" Noah asked.
"Noah we cant go into debt," Ava chuckled.
"Okay," he said. I looked at Owen, who I put in charge of holding all our paper money and cards. He smiled at me and I pecked his lips. It was our turn again and Owen spun, which landed us in retirement first.
"How appropriate," Olivia joked.
"Ha we get the most retirement money," I joked as Olivia handed me the paper money. Everyone else took their last turns and then we counted our money to determine the winner.
"Okay everyone say how much money they have, Liam go," Ava said.
"Uh we had 5.2 million," Liam said.
"Olivia," Ava said.
"4.7 million," Olivia said.
"Mom and dad?" Ava said.
" 5 million," Owen said.
"Well noah and I lost," ava said, "We had 4.1 million."
"Woohoo lets go!" Logan said and high fived Liam.
"Life champions!" Liam said. I chuckled as we cleaned up the board and then everyone went upstairs to brush their teeth and get ready for bed, which left Owen and I downstairs.
"Hey Owen?" I said as I was still sitting on the carpet.
"Yeah?" He said as he came back from putting the game box away.
"Help me up please," I chuckled. He came over and grabbed my hands and pulled me up and pecked my lips.
"Thank you," I smiled. We walked upstairs and went to say goodnight to Noah and Riley. I opened Noah's door and he was re organizing his book shelf.
"You almost ready for bed buddy?" I chuckled.
"Yeah a few minutes," he said.
"Okay well goodnight, I love you," I said.
"Goodnight I love you too mommy and daddy," he said.
"Good night love you buddy," Owen said. We said good night to Riley, Logan, Olivia, Liam and Ava and then walked back to our room. I walked into the bathroom to wash my face and I felt Owen walk behind me and put his hands on my waist.
"Mm hi," I said as I wiped my face.
"Hi," He said cutely and kissed me.
"I love you," I smiled.
"I love you too," he said.
