OWENS POV
We were okay. We were safe. Today was so scary, the thought of losing Amelia or me not being able to be there for her and the kids scared the life out of me. We were allowed to go home. I got in the car with Amelia and she was so anxious to see the kids.
"They must have been so scared," Amelia said.
"I know," I said, "I was scared."
"Me too," Amelia said. I pulled in the driveway and Olivia opened the front door. Amelia hugged her tightly as Logan, Ava and Liam came downstairs. I wrapped my arms around the three of them and Ava started crying. I looked at Amelia and she was crying too. Liam started crying and soon enough we all were.
"We're okay," I said.
"We are fine we're right here," Amelia said and hugged them again.
"Are Riley and Noah awake?" I asked.
"No they're asleep in Liam's room," Olivia said.
"Okay," Amelia nodded.
"Can I sleep in your room?" Olivia asked.
"Me too," Ava said.
"Well Riley and Noah are in my room so," Liam said. I looked at Amelia and she chuckled.
"Our bed isn't that big," Amelia chuckled.
"We used to all the time when we were little," Logan said.
"Yeah when you were little," I said.
"Yeah three out of the four of you are taller than me," Amelia laughed, "but we'll make something work." We walked upstairs and I peaked into Liam's room and Noah and Riley were fast asleep.
"Why don't we move Ava's bed in here," Liam said.
"Liam were not re arranging the house at 11pm," Amelia laughed. Amelia crawled into bed and the four of them piled in next to her.
"Guys this isn't going to work," Amelia laughed as Olivia was practically on top of her.
"Why don't we sleep in my room I have the couch," Liam said.
"Yeah okay," I said. They got up and went into Liam's room. I walked over to Amelia and she looked like she wanted to cry.
"What's wrong?" I said and sat down in front of her.
"The thought of not being here with them right now," she said crying, "what if something happened today? What if one of us died?"
"Let's think happy thoughts Mia, were both here right now, everyone's okay," I said and brought her into my arms to calm down. I kissed her head and she calmed down in my arms.
"So I guess were all a sleeping in Liam's room," she chuckled.
"Guess so," I said. She smiled and got up with me. We walked into Liam's room and Riley, Noah, and Logan were asleep on the couch, Olivia was going to sleep on his beanbag chair, and the twins and Amelia and I were somehow all going to fit in Liam's bed. I laid down with Amelia and Ava laid down next to her and Liam next to Ava.
"Good night everyone," Amelia said softly.
"Good night," they said. I locked eyes with Amelia and she smiled. I kissed her forehead and she nuzzled into me.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," she said and kissed me again. I pecked her lips and few times and she smiled.
"Hey this is my bed you're not allowed to have sex in it," Liam said.
"Liam Christopher!" Amelia laughed.
"I'm just saying," Liam said.
"Oh my god," I chuckled.
"Liam keep your feet to yourself," Ava complained.
"Stop arguing," Amelia chuckled.
"Stop making out," Ava said. Amelia chuckled and wrapped her arms around my waist. If we're being honest I'm surprised the four of us fit in Liam's bed.
AMELIAS POV
*this is Amelias dream*
I was running in the hospital. Running from him. The man with the gun. The lights were flickering and I couldn't get out. Every turn was a dead end. I was going to die. Where was Owen? I had to find a phone, I needed to text the kids. My mind was racing and my heart was beating. I turned the corner and there he was, holding the gun.
"Please I have 6 children and a husband, don't shoot me," I begged. He didn't say anything and pulled the trigger. I sat up and I was breathing so heavy. I looked around and I was in Liam's room, all the kids were asleep. I could feel my heart beating so quick.
"Amelia," Owen said and sat up next to me.
"Amelia what's wrong?" He asked as I started crying. He pulled me into a hug as I silently cried into him. He rubbed my back and we lied back down.
"You're okay," Owen said, "I'm right here Mia."
"I love you," I said.
"I love you too," he said. I buried my face in his chest and he rubbed my back.
"Mom?" Olivia said.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Are you okay?" olivia asked.
"Yeah I'm fine," I said.
"Okay," she said.
"Go back to bed," I said.
"Okay, love you," she said.
"Love you too," I said.
OWENS POV
I opened my eyes and Amelia was snuggled into me. Ava and Liam were passed out next to her and everyone else was asleep. Amelia woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare so I'm glad she fell back asleep peacefully. Noah opened his eyes and saw me.
"Good morning," I said softly.
"Good morning," he said. I looked down and Amelia had her arms wrapped around me and her head in my chest. Olivia sat up and yawned.
"Morning," she said quietly.
"Good morning," I said. Amelia nuzzled into me and she was starting to wake up. I kissed her head and she opened her eyes.
"Good morning," I said softly in her ear.
"Good morning," she said. She smiled and I kissed her. She snuggled into me and I smiled. She was so precious.
"I need coffee," Amelia said quietly and sat up.
"Okay," I chuckled.
"Come with me," she pouted. I got up with her and we walked downstairs into the kitchen. She was making coffee and I grabbed a muffin.
"They re opened the hospital last night," I said.
"I saw," she said quietly and continued making coffee.
"I'm on call tonight," I said.
"Yeah me too," she said. I walked over and wrapped my arms around her and she was sniffling. She turned around and looked at me and my heart broke how scared she was. I wrapped my arms around her and brought her into my chest.
"You're okay I promise," I said.
"I love you," she said.
"I love you too," I said. I rubbed her back and kissed her head to calm her down, I needed to protect her and yesterday I couldn't.
