AMELIAS POV
I got home and nobody was in the living room and I figured everyone was doing their homework. I walked into the kitchen and Ava went upstairs to shower after practice. Liam was helping Noah with his science homework which was cute.
"Hi guys," I said.
"Hi," They said.
"School good today?" I said.
"Yup," They said. I walked over to the counter and there was a math test with a sticky note. The sticky note read "mom & dad, I'm sorry." I knew it was Olivias without even looking at the name. I looked at the score and I felt bad because math was always a hard subject for her.
"Is olivia upstairs?" I said.
"Are you going to yell at her?" Liam said, "please don't she's upset." I loved how much he cared for his little sister.
"Liam I'm not going to yell at her," I said, "but thank you for caring about your little sister."
"Something like that," he joked. I grabbed the test and walked upstairs to say hello to Logan and Riley first. Rileys door was open and she was playing with her Barbie dolls.
"Hi Riley," I smiled.
"Mommy!" She smiled and hugged me.
"Hi baby," I smiled, "how was school? Did you have your spelling test today?"
"It was so easy because daddy helped me study!" She said.
"I'm glad," I smiled.
"Can you help me with my social studies homework later?" She asked.
"Let me go talk to your siblings first and I'll be back okay?" I said.
"Okay!" She said. I walked down the hallway and opened Logan's door.
"Hey mom," he said and looked up from his video game on his phone.
"Hi, how was soccer?" I said.
"It was good," he said, "did dad tell you when my game is?"
"1 right?" I said.
"Yup," he said.
"I blocked off my schedule to see your game and Ava's game this week," I said.
"Cool thanks," he smiled. I went to leave when he said something else.
"You might have to break down Olivias door since it's locked," he said. I frowned.
"Is she really that upset?" I frowned.
"She kicked Riley out of her room and wouldn't let any of us in after," he said.
"Okay thanks," I said. I still had her test in my hand and I frowned. I knocked on her door.
"Riley go away," Olivia said.
"Liv baby it's me," I said.
"Go away," she said.
"Olivia," I said.
"Mom go away," she said.
"Can you please open the door, I'm not mad at you I promise," I said.
"You're not?" She said quietly.
"Of course I'm not mad at you, open the door so we can talk," I said. She opened the door and she was crying. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her head. She had a math textbook on her bed and I knew she was probably struggling to do her homework. I closed the door behind me.
"I'm not mad," I said.
"I'm sorry," she said.
"Why are you apologizing?" I said.
"Because it's the third test I've failed this quarter," she said crying.
"Okay shh it's okay," I said and hugged her again.
"I don't want to disappoint you or dad," she said.
"You're not disappointing us I promise," I said.
"Everyone else is good at math," she said crying, "Ava, Liam, and Logan are all so smart and I study too and I can't seem to get an A on any of my tests."
"It's okay," I said, "do you want to get a tutor, do you want to ask your teacher for help, I'm sure one of your older siblings would help you."
"I guess so," she shrugged.
"I gave you three options," I chuckled.
"I'll ask Liam," She said.
"Okay," I said, "do you have homework tonight." She nodded.
"Do you want Liam for help with that too?" I asked.
"I called someone in my class and we worked on it before," she said.
"Well that was a good idea," I said.
"Yeah," she said, "how come everyone else can be good at math so effortlessly?"
"Not everyone," I chuckled, "I'm god awful at math."
"But you're a neurosurgeon," She chuckled.
"Ask your father I'm so bad at math," I said. She chuckled.
"So I got it from you," she chuckled.
"Afraid so kiddo," I said.
"Oh and mom?" She said.
"Yeah?" I said.
"You have to sign the test," she chuckled.
"Can you grab me a pen?" I asked.
"Here," she said and handed me one. I signed the test and gave it to her.
"Thanks," she said.
"You're welcome," I said.
"I'm sorry for locking my door," she said.
"It's okay," I said. I hugged her and then went to go help Riley with her homework. I sat on her floor with her and I read the little passage with her and helped her with the questions that went along with it. She was so cute.
"Is olivia okay?" She asked.
"She's okay," I said, "she just had a bad day." She nodded and we finished the last of the questions.
"I'm home!" I heard Owen say.
"Daddy!" Riley smiled and ran downstairs. I put her homework in her folder and back in her bag. I walked downstairs and Owen was talking to Liam and Noah and Riley.
"Hey," I smiled and wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Hey," he smiled and kissed me. He wrapped his arms around me and I put my head on his chest.
"Is olivia okay?" Noah asked.
"Yes she's okay," I said.
"What happened?" Owen asked.
"I'll tell you later," I said.
"Okay," he said worried.
"It's okay everything is fine," I reassured and kissed his cheek.

OWENS POV
I was upstairs with Amelia and I wanted to know what happened with Olivia.
"What happened?" I said.
"She failed another math test," Amelia said, "and she was really upset and thought that we were going to be disappointed in her." I frowned and sat down next to her.
"Is she okay now?" I asked.
"Yeah," Amelia said, "we talked about it and she said she's going to have Liam help her and I reassured her that we aren't disappointed in her."
"Thank you," I said and pecked her lips, "she got your math skills."
"Oh I know," she chuckled.
"Anything else happen today?" I asked.
"I think Ava might have a boyfriend," she chuckled.
"What!" I said.
"Hey I said might! And no freaking out this is why I didn't want to tell you," she chuckled.
"Fine I'm not freaking out," I said.
"Liar," Amelia joked.
"Why do you think this?" I said.
"There's this boy she comes out of field hockey practice with everyday and she says they're just friends but I don't know," Amelia said.
"Liam would know," I chuckled.
"That's true," she said, "flip a coin who asks him."
"You're so mature," I chuckled and kissed her forehead.
