OWENS POV
Today Amelia's mother was coming into town, which meant Derek was hosting a family dinner. Amelia's favorite. We were upstairs getting ready and Amelia looked stressed.
"You okay?" I said.
"I hate these things," she said, "they're so stupid and I always end up mad."
"Are your sisters going?" I asked.
"Liz is, I don't talk to Kathleen and Nancy," she said.
"Okay," I said. She changed her shirt and looked in the mirror.
"Do I look fat in this?" She said.
"Amelia you're not fat," I said.
"Do I?" She said.
"No you don't," I said, "but your boobs look good in it."
"Owen!" She laughed and hit my arm.
"I can't lie, you're hot," I said.
"So are you," she smiled and kissed my cheek. I grabbed her waist and pulled her into my arms. I pecked her lips and she smiled.
"I love you," she said.
"I love you too," I smiled.
"Olivia get out!" Ava yelled.
"One day without that is too much to ask," I chuckled.
"Of course," she chuckled. She sighed and walked out of the bedroom and down the hallway.
AMELIAS POV
I opened Ava's door and Olivia and her were arguing over something.
"What are we arguing about now?" I said.
"That's my shirt!" Olivia said.
"You aren't wearing it right now what does it matter?" Ava said.
"Olivia you're not," I said.
"Mom!" Olivia said.
"I'll give it back later!" Ava said.
"Fine," Olivia said and stormed off.
"She's such a bitch lately," Ava said.
"I heard that!" Olivia said.
"Good!" Ava said.
"Can you guys please just not fight tonight?" I asked.
"Sure," Ava said.
"And don't call you sister a bitch," I said.
"You call yours that all the time," Ava said. I chuckled.
"Just don't," I said.
"Okay," Ava said, "sorry."

We were at Derek's house and my mom wasn't here yet. Liz was here and that made me happy. I haven't seen her in a while. Honestly at least I got along with one of my sisters. I haven't seen Liz in a long time, probably 2 or 3 years.
"Hey," I smiled and walked over to her.
"Hi," she smiled and hugged me, "missed you."
"Miss you too," I said.
"How's everything? How's the kids?" She said.
"Everything's good, the kids are doing great," I said, "what about you? Where's Andrew?" Her and Andrew got married 6 years ago.
"He's on a business trip," she said, "He comes home next week."
"Ah," I said. Zola came down the stairs and ran over to me and hugged me.
"Amelia!" She smiled, I let her call me amelia because she is 22 now, but in my mind she'll always be my little Zola.
"Zola! How are you?" I said.
"I have something to tell you," she said.
"Okay," I said.
"Come here though," she said and we walked into the other room.
"I have a boyfriend," she smiled, "at college look at him!" She showed me a picture on my phone and I smiled.
"He's a cutie," I said.
"My mom and dad don't know yet though," she chuckled.
"You sound like Ava," I said.
"Ava has a boyfriend?" She said.
"Yeah, his name is Justin," I said.
"Is he nice?" She said.
"Ask her I haven't met him," I chuckled.
"Damn," she chuckled.
"I'm gonna start bugging her about him because I know Owen wants to meet him like right now," I chuckled.
"What about you?" She said.
"I mean I do but I never told my mom everything," I chuckled.
"Me either," She chuckled, "so anyway are you and Uncle Owen having anymore kids because I want another baby cousin." I almost spit my drink out and looked at her in disbelief.
"Are you insane I already have 6 kids," I chuckled, "there will be no more Hunt children."
"Oh come on," she begged.
"Ask one of your other aunts you have plenty," I said, "Like Liz, go bother her for another kid, she only has 2 teenagers not 4. Or Maggie! Go bother her."
"I can't just ask her to have a kid I'm not close with her like you," she chuckled, "or that close with aunt Maggie."
"Have your own," I joked, "just kidding your parents would kill me if you did."
"I'm not ready for that," she laughed.
"Good," I said. The doorbell rang and I knew that meant my mother was here.
"$10 the shit show blows up before 10," Zola said.
"$20 it's before 9," I said.
"You're on," she laughed and shook my hand. I walked into the living room and my mom was saying hi to everyone. The kids ran down the stairs, along with Bailey, Ellis, and Maggie and Andrews two girls Alexis and Ella. That would keep her preoccupied, and she had Owen to talk to who was talking to Derek and Andrew. She started saying hi to everyone and I hadn't seen her in a while, I don't know how I felt about it.
"Amelia!" She smiled.
"Hi!" I smiled and hugged her.
"Oh it's so good to see you dear," she smiled.
"Oh you too," I said. She was talking to Liz which got me off the hook. I walked over to Owen who was talking to Derek. I wrapped my arms around his waist and pecked his lips.
"Hi," I smiled.
"Hi," he said. I snuggled into him as he wrapped his arms around me. I always felt so safe with him.

It was after dinner and the kids were in the basement playing video games and stuff together and Derek, Meredith, Owen, Zola, and I were in the kitchen. Maggie and Andrew left with Alexis and Ella because it was getting late, past 9 which meant that I lost the bet.
"Do you know what time it is?" Zola chuckled.
"Yeah yeah," I chuckled and handed her a 20.
"Thank you," she chuckled.
"Damn I really thought I was gonna win," I chuckled. Zola shrugged and smiled.
"Are you two making bets?" Meredith chuckled.
"No," Zola and I laughed.
"If it's after 10 I get it back," I chuckled.
"Fair enough," Zola said.
"What are you two doing?" Derek chuckled.
"Nothing!" Zola and I said.
OWENS POV
We were all sitting in the living room watching mindless TV. Amelia was snuggled into me and Zola was sitting next to her. Amelia was so happy Zola was here which was so cute, they had such a strong bond. Amelia and her mother barely talked tonight, which I guess was good for them since they usually fought anyway. Amelia nuzzled into me and I rubbed her back. She was so cute.
"Amelia!" Carolyn called from the kitchen. Amelia looked up at me and sighed.
"I'll be back," she said softly and kissed my lips. She got up and walked into the kitchen where her mom and Liz were. For Amelia's sake I was just hoping they wouldn't fight.
AMELIAS POVS
I walked into the kitchen where Liz and my mom were sitting at the table. I sat down next to Liz.
"Yes?" I said.
"I want to throw a party with everyone and I need to know if you and your family would come," she said.
"Mom I have to decide right now?" I said.
"Yes," my mom said.
"Sure I guess," I said. I looked at Liz and she nodded.
"Well actually," I said, "is Nancy going? Or Kathleen?"
"Yes," my mom said.
"Alright I'm not going," I said.
"Amelia!" My mom sighed.
"What? I've made my choice," I said.
"You can't run away from your problems like that," she said.
"I'm not," I said.
"Yes you are," she said.
"And how is that my fault that you basically trained them to hate me mom?" I said and got up. I walked back into the living room and sat down next to Owen and Zola. Owen kissed my head and I leaned into him.
"You okay?" He said softly in my ear. I nodded and nuzzled into him. Zola leaned into me and I put my arm around her. Meredith and Derek were cuddled on the other couch and I'm thankful for this part of the family more and more everyday.
